    Having used the 2GB model that has Android GO Edition installed, avoid this unit.

    The sound is mediocre at best, due to a single speaker instead of dual, with almost no bass and tinny higher ends. The display is fine, but the pixel density does leave a little to be desired, as is expected for a tablet with a lower PPI. Brightness and colors are fine, though.

    The biggest drawback is the Android GO. My tablet crashed numerous times and would have trouble with responsiveness, most astonishingly, while scrolling through Google Play to download apps. The device was not overloaded or anything.

    Perhaps the 3GB RAM version with Android 11 would be a better option, but if you need to stick to a similar price, you'd most likely be better off with a Samsung tablet like the A7 Lite.

It only works if you have a cellular network (i.e. a SIM card). It then takes the location from the cell towers and then if you are outdoors will also activate the GPS on the device for additional info (i.e. elevation, etc).

        A well made tablet hobbled by middling display resolution and low brightness.

        This could be a replacement for the Nexus 7 2013 and Sony Xperia Z3 tablet compact with an equivalent display. It wouldn't add that much to the price.

            2nd and 3rd gen are almosr0t same in every way. I dont even think that this gonna get realesed now. They rebranded it to Motorola Tab g20.

              All Lenovo M8 so far have a major drawback - GPS works only when connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data network. Is this resolved in the 3rd gen?

                  can user play netflix, youtube.? Old models have DRM issue.
