I don't believe there is a 8GB ram version. Not sure why it's listed as an option.

        Qualcomm's policy to still provide obsolete hardware decoder is a pure shame.
        As not Only Mediatek (since 3 gen), but Intel (core i Gen 12), NVIDIA (since GTX20xx), AMD, Amlogic, Realtek, Novatek, Rockchip, Broadcom...all those have hardware solutions for AV1. Even a 40€ FireStick 4k Max is able to decode AV1...
        As all streaming platforms planed or already Start using AV1...

        Dont know why media don't assassinate Qualcomm for such a decision!

          I have some friends living in UK/EEA, they tend to buy all necessary devices in advance.
          (There's something called tradingshenzhen but still pricey compared with original RRP)

          Besides, I am not saying that K1300T is crappy. It is definitely better than 750G/778G. In EU it is a good choice as long as Lenove have done thermal management right. V7 Pro's performance issue may be directly caused by plastic back(aka eco-leather).

Most modern apple products, even those including M2 do not have AV1 hardware accelerator. They will surely not be obsolete until their EOL date. You can argue that apple has the best HEVC support though.

              I live in Hong Kong and have no issue accessing this video.
              It compares synthetic benchmarks and multiple irl game performance. V7 Pro heavily throttles in most of the demanding games. If you can read basic Chinese you may go to some tech communities like coolapk to check reviews by real users. Do not expect too much from K1300T.

              However it is still better than 750G/778G.

                MRSTEK, 07 Sep 2022Not around SD865. Check reviews and irl user experience. K1... more- "K1300T is rebranded D1100". That's wrong! Display DAC isn't the same, K1300T's allows QHD screens, D1100's doesn't. GPU's frequencies are a little bit different...K1300's is closer to D1200's.
                - "GPU is critically important for a QHD tablet". In games, that's often (not always) wrong. On AAA games, rendering resolution is often limited to 1080p even on QHD screen. Genshin Impact's is even 720p.
                Outside games, even an old mt8176 from 2017 is fine to handle QHD screen (I've got one)

                - Geekerwan's video on V7 Pro you talked about was removed...if I remember, it was based on Pubg...was software limited (due to game), problem wasn't the hardware.
                Here is a comparison between D1100 and SD870 on Genshin Impact, not that bad...K1300T should be a little better than D1100 (little bit higher GPU frequency, better thermal because of device size)

                Fine perfs on one of the most demanding game.

                Something about the ridiculous price's difference with Gen 1 and it's tiny SD730? No!
                Something about S7 FE, same price, weaker soc, half the price, quarter the storage, no Amoled? No!
                Something about AV1? No!

                Overall, it's the best Pad you may get now...

                  Check the GPU performance...GPU is critically important for a QHD tablet.
                  You can compare D1100 with SD870. Or you may find a bunch of articles, videos about Honor V7 Pro, the first tab features K1300T (though in Chinese). It is notably slower when playing demanding games and has a worse thermal management...

                    Hey, you're on Android, not on iPadOS...
                    In 7-8 Years, maybe you will no longer use the latest Android version.
                    But jour web engine, your store, your playprotect and so on will still be up to date.

                    Today, you're able to run the latest version of Firefox on...Android 5.0. It means security patch is from August 2022 on your web engine on a 8 years old OS.
                    IOS 14 stopped in october 2021, web engine is on longer up to date on a 1 year old OS.

                      In Europe P11 Pro Gen 2 is only 30€ more expensive than gen 1! SD730 is a joke compare to K1300T...
                      P11 Pro Gen 2 Costs the same than Tab S7 FE (549€-50€ cash back vs 499€) :
                      - K1300T is better than SD778G (865+ is on standard S7)
                      - it's 8/256GB version compare to 4/64!
                      - you've got Amoled
                      - it's the first tab that supports AV1 hardware decoding in Europe, even iPad doesn't.

                      Fine, you can get something a little more powerfull with SD870...but not that much. And SD's will be obsolete for streaming in a couple of years

                        2 yrs of software update ruins the acceptability of this tablet. 13 is just like mostly 3 month away, so 14 is next year and you won't get any other updates. This sucks.

You can check reviews of Honor V7 Pro which has the same chipset. Maybe u can find a review done by geekwan on youtube. K1300T is not great even though MTK claims that it is made for tabs.

                              The SoC is quite a huge step up from the previous gen's Snapdragon 730G. This should be an interesting alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.

                                K1300T is NOT on par with 865/870. Check Honor's tablet for mainland. V7 Pro.
