AnonD-464302, 14 Nov 2015just go to your tab setting then click about device softwa... moreVery strange, somehow my Lenovo Tab S8-50LC don't seems to have Device Software Update in Setting. When I went into Setting > About tablet > Software update > Checking for update > You are using the latest version, it doesn't have any option to perform update online becides from SD card. Do you have any idea how to proceed from here?

just go to your tab setting then click about device software update. just update it then after update your device will reboot and automatically upgrade to the latest version of kitkat. then repeat the same procedure after the second update your device will reboot again then your device open with newly fresh adroid lollipop... thnks and hoping that your tab will upgrade to lollipop same as mine reply if this messge helps you:)

To make video calls (you have to be rooted first!!)Edit this line in build.prop find for this statement : " ro.lenovo.region=row
ro.lenovo.device=tablet
ro.lenovo.sim=single
ro.lenovo.videocall=false >>> change to "true"
ro.hq.desktop.config=wcdma
This is for another Lenovo MTK SoC Lollipop device. i can make Skype and Hangouts video calls after that.

I bought this s8 tab for my son, all is perfectly well, only issue is the battery really drains fast. Lenovo pls. send remedy for this. thanks.

Dear friends,,,, anyone found the fix about desired mannual custom settings as u like at Dolby digital plus app,,,, they are simply falling down and fixed to 12db in any combination,,,, can't find the solution for this problem at lenovo / Dolby,,,, so if anyone got fix for this then plz share coz am damn sure that 99% of ppl r facing this,,,, thank you

Hello everyone!
I have the Tab S8-50 LC model (Wifi+4G) sold in India..
I would like to hear the experiences of those who have upgraded to Lollipop 5.0.1 on this model.
How is the Performance (UI fluidity, opening closing apps, app load times, gaming etc.), Battery Life, Stability compared to Kitkat?
Does the ART makes any noticeable difference?
Has Lenovo given us a proper upgrade (bugfree, polished, complete) or has just pushed out something that works reasonably?
Any issues you are facing after update..
What was good before now bad/broken and what has improved over Kitkat..
I am completely satisfied with rooted Kitkat + Xposed, I just want to know if Lollipop is worth it.
Any comments, screenshots, links to your blog are most appreciated..

If you wont video call in messenger
the old version of messenger video call working in lenovo s8 but the update let video call not working
so that you ask anybody to send old version of messenger app for you and close update so that the video call will working very good
or dowenlod it from store and close the update

Anonymous, 06 Nov 2015Using a chromecast on an lg tv the casting was as simple as... moreOh..yes everything seems to be solved after the latest upgrade to the lolipop...no more cast screen/screen mirroring issues ..BTW u don't need to use other apps or Chromecast it works just fine with the built in screen mirroring options

Heard from one of the seller here that the reason why FB Messenger is not supported is that most Intel Processors have issues with Video Calling Features. Don't know if it is true, but even me, I was disappointed why I can't use Video Call with Lenovo TAB S8. Hope Lenovo will do something to SOLVE the issue...

Hi - i just bought this tab s 8 two days back and till now i am very much satisfied with the performance - its screen is better than i pad mini only issue is battery -which drains fast on gaming ( max 3 hours on wifi ) plus the heating issue, other than this - one of the best tabs with such low price tag -

Same as mine...why lenovo tab S8 doesn't have videocalling in messenger? Anyone plz...how can I fix it?
