The Iphone generally does NOT, with an occational lag here and there that every phone might have, the same goes for the SAMSUNG ETERNITY (the phone that I traded my LG INCITE in for and is available thru AT&T), this phone practically has no lag EVER, which is great because when you touch a button, it reacts just as quickly.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2008In response to Ariel, was the lag so bad that you had to re... moreWell, in response to your question, the lag time is about 1-3 seconds...for a regular phone that would be annoying, for a touchscreen it is horrible! When you have a physical button to press, at least you know that if the phone lags, the button you pressed was indeed registered. However, with a touchscreen, you'd WANT it to be as responsive to the touch, how else will you know that the button was registered if not for the quick response of the phone? The small click vibration would then be the solution, which many phones adopted, none-the-less, this phone vibrates whenever you touch the screen be there a button or no button, so it kind of renderes itself useless. You spend way too much time trying just to figure out if any button you pressed just registered.
To answer someone elses question about texting: I with all my heart and soul am completely against this phone for simple, quick texting. The reason being: the phone tries its hardest to MAKE TEXTING COMPLICATED! Not only do you have to access 3 to 4 different options just to get to something you can write on for texting, but you have to do all the navigating on the smallest font I've ever seen on a phone. And once you get to the actual document setting to send out a Microsoft Office Outlook type text message, the lag of the keyboard when you type or even want to start typing completely makes it all the most undesirable.
I hope that all helped for you people who were questioning anything else.

From my experience working in a phone store all the LG touch screens from the Chocolate to the viewty are not too good. Picture your self taking a cheese grater and mincing up your finger then using the remians to type out a document on a touch screen phone. that pretty much is what it is like. but some use a blender.

I just lost my LG viewty as I drop it on the road and car crash it. I'm damn sad cause all my phone contact and msg I wanted to keep just lost. I was thinking to send back LG factory to fix but it really big damaged.
now was thinking to get a new phone, thinking to get iphone or get back LG viewty. accidentally saw this LG incite, which amazed me and wanted to have it. I'm from malaysia, so guess it is not yet launch yet, dont know how long have to wait. But I read all opinions, seems not that positive???? Confusing me
Well, may I know how much the phone you guys get?
Anyway can tell?

I couldn't wait to get this phone, and once I did I was extremely disapointed to the point where I had to return it after 2 days. The touch screen is NOWHERE nearly as responsive as a standard touch screen phone should be with practically 1 or 2 seconds of delay after every press (this was just soo completely annoying). When you turn the phone sideways, it takes about 2 or 3 seconds to flip to landscape mode, and when you flip it back to portrait it takes about 5 seconds to DO THAT! The text size, like most Window Mobile phones, is extremely small making it practically a requirement to use the stylus...BUT THE PHONE ISN'T HOLY SCRIPTURE! I DON'T WANNA HAVE TO USE A STYLUS TO ACCESS STUFF IN MY PHONE! Not to mention, if I DID WANT to use the stylus, I wouldn't have anywhere to put it! YES, the stylus has a laniard to hang up on the phone, but now it just dangles.
The QWERTY keyboard is also very delayed and makes sending out a text message a chore, that's right, 2 days of having the phone and I still couldn't send out a simple text without accidentally closing a text, or sending an incomplete one. I'm not saying it wasn't possible to send out a text, I'm just saying it was not easy.
The phone vibrates when you touch the screen, which was very effective in the Samsung Eternity (which I had before the Incite and quickly went back to using), but became annoying on the Incite. theoretically, the phone should vibrate when a button, option, or tab it selected letting the user know that the actions taken to register a key stroke has been recognized. However, the incite will vibrate whether or not an actual button is pressed, meaning you can touch anywhere on the screen at anytime and it'll still give a slight vibration, completely doing away with its initial purpose.
On the plus side, there were a couple of cool features. The phone is loud and I never had a problem hearing on it. Also, you can use regular 3.5 mm headphones to listen to music AAANND to talk on the phone! IT's pretty cool because while you're using your everyday headphones, and you get a call, you don't have to disconnect them, just start talking, the microphone on the actual unit is powerful enough to pick up your voice with out needing it close to your mouth. This was a very awesome piece, if LG did this intentionally who knows.
That's it, that's my own personal experience with the phone. I'm just a regular guy that expects regular things. I know what works and what doesn't for me. The things I had issues with really bugged me and I know it'll bug the everyday user, however, if you do find the need to micro manage, then you might be willing to put up with these issues because the phone itself offers a lot.

i have the phone for couple of days now and my first reaction when i got the phone was whow. But after i start ussing it , i found out that the battery life sucks , it only last for 4 hours, the screen is to stif even if u use the stilus is hard to do any thing , the processor is to slow the 3G is not fast and the phone crash on me like tree times in two days.So right now my opinion is not to buy the phone.Kool dessign ,the camera is not bad at all, but the whole phone in general sucks.

I saw this phone in person. The pictures don't do it justice. The boarder around the screen is black so it blends with the screen and looks much more attractive in person.
