I don't know why LG take the risk of launching Firefox OS phone. But if it's price range is similar with Nokia's Asha or Samsung's Rex lineup then it's ok. Firefox OS is nothing but a replica of android 2.3 with less functionality and with some basic UI. It is just like a toy version of android smart phone for the kids to play with. But it's more close to android than Rex and Asha so it can be a good competitor among them. Firefox OS ij not smooth like android and not transparent, have some round shaped app icons. one thing that is good about this OS is , you can use apps directly from the store without downloading them. But it's a joke to compare the new version of Firefox OS even with the android 2.3.
Though the performance of the OS is not up to the mark but LG's hardware is always outstanding and verry impressive. It has a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and 4GB internal storage.
I think the phone will hit the market if it's price is considerably lower than their android lineup.
