Sprint's LG G3 out on July 18, pre-orders start a week earlier

03 July, 2014

If you're in the US and your carrier of choice is Sprint, then here's something for you. The Now Network will officially start selling the LG G3 on July 18.

Pre-orders for the device will start on July 11, so exactly one week before the launch. The G3 will be available at Sprint in black or gold, the latter of which is an exclusive color to this particular carrier in the US.

Using the Sprint Easy Pay scheme, you'll be able to grab the G3 for $0 upfront (plus tax), followed by 24 monthly payments of $25. That all adds up neatly to $600, which may in fact be the amount you'd need to pay were you to purchase the smartphone sans contract.

It's still unclear how much you'll need to shell out if you want to sign a traditional two-year service agreement, though we assume it's $199 or so.

That said, if you do use Sprint Easy Pay you may be eligible to receive a $150 reward card (if you purchase from July 11 to July 24), or a $100 card (if you buy the phone from July 25 to August 14). To take advantage of this you'll need to go through a registration process, which has to be done by August 7 for the $150 card, or August 28 for the $100 one.

Oh, and if you register your interest for the new handset over at this special website, you have the chance to win one of 20 G3s that Sprint is giving away.

The most over-hyped phone of this year, of all time actually (excluding the iPhone as usual).
