this phone sux.. my dad has this phone n its damn slow..nokia is very much better..when the screen fades out u can't read the time and date..not recommended for thoso who type (sms) fast bcoz ur text will end up with all the wrong alphabets..however the design is nice..but i wldn't want this phone..tata

hi guys, i'm from italy and i discovered on a forum on the net how to transfer a java midlet created for a generic phone to the LG5300i (it should work on other models too).
you must do this:
1)edit the .jad file of the midlet and add at the end this line: "MIDletX-LG-Contents: G5310" (without the quotes)
2) copy both the .jad and .jar files in the folder C:\Programs\LGGSM\LGContentsBank\Contents\Java
3) start the content-bank software and you'll find the new entry
note that dont works with all midlets

I am extremely disappointed in this phone...I cant download anything without drama, i have no network coverage, it has the smallest and most difficult buttons to type on! Looks good, yeah i'll give em that but i advise all NOT TO BUY AN LGG5300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im from philippines.. i want to get GPRS service by hotlink.... how can i do?? can u help me... im currently subscribing to globe, philippines but then i still cannot download images & rigntones because accdg. to them they have not configured their system in this kind of cellphone model.

Hi, I'm from Greece and I just bought the LG G5300i. Everething is all right, its cute, with good screen and nice quality of sound, but...
a. I can't turn off the keys' sound without turning off and the other notification sounds
b. The images I upload instead of 65K colors are 256
c. I can't upload midlets (using the LG_Contents_Bank) not created from LG (btw, what midlets has created LG and where I can find them?)
d. I can't recieve MMS' , I get a msg of new incoming MMS but it fails at the download

P.S. does anyone know if LG has released a software update?

hi, i was jus wondering with my phone when i try to get onto a site it say unknown content and if i get a mms i get a msg with another website saying go here to collect your mms, my question is does anybody know how to open them(the mmss and the sites) on the phone. mainly the mmss? thanks

This phone was the biggest dud our company ever sold, (I won't say which one), technically a 150% return ratio (if you include the repeat returns!) great looking phone, but the coverage and reception was below poor, it was crap!
If the reception was good, then it may have been a good phone.

i love this phone. but i agree with most: i want to get rid of opertor logo..i found out how to do it here: http://ozducati.freeshell.org/frames.html?lg5300-nologo.html but i am scared to try.. anyone?? and yes the fade out screen saver is annoying.. but none the less i really do like this phone.

i had one of these fones for two weeks,
if u drop them they are repairable for the price you brought them at, dont drop them

i am having a problem with downloading a polyphonic ring tone it says my phone is not compatable but in the book is says it can download polyphonis ring tones i have been to sites they have the lg 5300 but not the 5300i whats the differeence is it the i ? if so could some one let me know where i can get a ring tone for me phone thanx

this is my secend fone after the HGC-310e blue and i'm starting to think i dont like it so much only because of the logo covering up my wallpaper and i know how 2 get ringtonees but i cant get rid of the stupid logo PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

I have bought the lg G5300i with the vodafone pack $149, i have put my optus sim car in it and am unable to down load polyphoic ring tones or colour pictures. Does this only work if i use the vodafone sim card? Even when i try to down load with the vodafone sim card when i have finished downloading it says "Content not found" or error. How do i get a ring tone???!!! PLEESE email me if u can help

I recently purchase an LG 5300i, which is my first phone. I have been on a couple of websites looking for free polyphonic ringtones and have found some that require me to enter in the website, followed by a ID number. I have done this fine and it connects and downloads (i think) but once it has finished I have know idea where my ringtone has gone, I don't know how to activate it. If anyone can help me with this please e-mail me, I would be really grateful.
