du... more- I believe your phone has a problem
- the phone is low to switch on and fast to switch off. You cannot optimize both (see the OSes for computers).
- to do the update, you need to update also your computer in order it recognizes your USB cable. I received a message in my Windows Vista when I plugged the phone asking me for updating the drivers of the USB
- "oh also has anyone else noticed how bad the t9 on it is? when i type in a new word into the dictionary instead of putting it where i was typing it replaces the first word with it :S ?" If you began to type a word that is not in the dictionnary and so you launched the dictionnary, yes the word you began to type is replaced. If you call for the dictionary in a blank space, the word is not replaced.
- "also when using the onscreen keyboard there is no * button to get the next wordd??". Completely right and it is normal. If you read the manual, it is written that you have to press on the triangle near the word in the box to choose in a list of words...

this phone is crap
was loooking forward to it soo much
dunno if its just mine and need to send it back and get a new one but so far (and ive only had it since yesterday) its:
-Frozen 3 times, then taken ages to turn off and back on.
-randomly turned off 4 times, 3 times while writing texts and the other when in the menu.
-the profiles dont work, like for example when i click on any of the profiles to change the settings it brings up "normal" settings instead and when i put it on silent altho it shows the silent signal it makes noise.
-also seems very laggy especially when opening messages
i am trying to do this update thing but it says that my phone is not connected to the usb cable when it is.
any help?? should i just send it back?

1- after pressing the "send" button, you can see at the top of the screen a big button. Press it and you can see only the calls if it what you wish.
2 - in the phone book you can search somebody by the first letters so why do you talk about a core? You can also dial some numbers of a phone number and you see all the people who have a phone number with these numbers.... I saw more complicated in my life.
3 - I have this phone for one month and it didn't switch off alone but if the battery is ending. Be careful that if you have two bars and you are calling, the battery can finish in few minutes. Actually it is a reccurent matter in the LG phones I have had
4 - Only one freezing in a month and it happened when I pressed many things in the very short time and before the update. I believe it also is your problem.

This phone is rubbish!!I have had it a week it has turned itself off 3 times when i have tried to answer a call,it has frozen on numerous occasions.
It is also far to complicated it is a chore just to get a name from the phone book.
When i press the send button all i want is a list of recently recived/dialled numbers not every event that has happened,if i wanted to see 20 texts from the same person i would go to my inbox instead.ARRRRRGH!!!

I've had this phone for a little bit now, with no probs at all, doesn't freeze/lag/shut off or anything trouble some.
Please advise what probs your having and how long have you had the phone? any details you give us would be very helpful.

This phone is terrible ...LG should be sorry for the model I have all type of troubles be sure that you test before buy.I paid $ 500,00?????

Honestly i love this phone it does anything the S8300h does but better besides it's camera, i had the s8300h for 5 months and this phone just kills it. Every where go i get so much attention from my phone girls just come up to me and ask about it. LG thanks for this gorgeous mobile.

- Connect to LG PC Suit III, via USB.
- go to TOOLS
- Phone Update at bottom of drop down menu.
Went to update again to see if there's a newer update, and PC Suit said i had the latest Version which is:

logically speaking, why would you want a phone made out of glass? - do you not think it would be easily damaged and breakable in comparison to plastic. get a mobile that is appropriate to your needs. dont get something because it is new etc. buy a mobile because it is a upgrade to your current or a overall better phone for YOU.

i can't register my phone with LG online. when i type in model number i put GD900, when i click continue page refreshs and has error incorrect model. WTF??? anyone else had any probs registering? in Australia. If it helps i tried to register on LG Aust website.
