jezza, 09 Jan 2009For people who think this is the first watch mobile , you m... moreI agree to what you are saying about people hiding under rocks. :)
The price tag, however, i think will be in the range of 300-400 usd.
Bear in mind that a china watch phone retails for 150-200 usd. These have a relatively bad lcd, bad speakers, crude finish and crappy quality overall.
China phones do not bear ce-marking either.
If LG is going to put this in a shop near you, it will cost, because they have to make something better than a china phone.

For people who think this is the first watch mobile , you must have been hding under a rock for the last 2 years or so because watch phones have been around for a while.
Mitsubishi have a few out, as do some other Japan and china manufacturers.
To the person that guarantees this will cost less than $50, what planet are you on ?.
I wouod be surprised if it was cheaper than $150 US. I think close to $200 retail is more like it.
Basic features but a nice discrete phone.

I've read quite a bit about this phone, and

The truth is that the Watch Phone or Mobile Wrist Cell a... moreI took a look into those "TEDACOS watch phones".
These watch phones are nothing more than what's been available for sale from e.g. www.ipmart.com .
You go see for yourself:
http://www.tedacos.com/
http://www.ipmart.com/main/browse/Mobile,Phone_China,Mobile,Phones_Watch,Phone,2305.php?cat=2305
I am also pretty sure of one thing:
Tedacos have been through hell and back to get those phones ce-marked.
In EU, it is illegal to import non ce-marked communication equipment. Including cellphones.
However, i have bought watch phones and lots of other stuff from ipmart.com .
Suffice it to say that those chinamen are in possession of great shipping skills! :)
You may also like to visit specialphones.eu .
Somewhat expensive, but perhaps a bit better webshop than ipmart.

Hmmm... the inner wrist looks somewhat uncomfortable. however, to the best of my knowledge it is the first watch/phone that is being made available to the public.
I think we have to give credit to LG for the creativity. We know that the functions are not that outstanding but its a first attempt and I believe for a first attempt they have done quite well.
My advice is if u already only purchase this piece if you already have a phone you are comfortable with.
