LG GD910 watch phone to hit Orange networks in July

04 June, 2009

Here are some good news to those of you that are looking for some unorthodox way to carry around their handset. The smallish, nice looking wristwatch phone LG GD910 will start shipping in Europe this July. In the beginning it will be an Orange exclusive deal, but some months later it will also spawn across Asia, Australia and Latin America.

LG's first wristwatch phone called GD910 will be available through Orange stores next month whenever they can be found in Europe.

In case you need a refresh – the LG GD910 was first introduced and demonstrated on this year CES and the Barcelona MWC as well. It's capable of making voice and video calls and comes with nice Bluetooth handsfree. The specs sheet includes all you may ever need from such a gadget – 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 1.4-inch touch display, a CIF video call camera, text-to-speech capabilities for easy messaging, MP3 player and only 13.9mm of thickness.

There is no official word on pricing yet and we really hope that the rumored price of 600 euro with a 2-year contract will turn out to be just that - only a rumor.
