Nevin Joseph, 30 Nov 2009No Hari, this phone doesn't come with a pdf reader just lik... moreFor reading ebooks there is something know as mjbook ebook maker. Its pretty basic.... It can be used to convert ebooks to jar format. The final file will be around 1-2MB depending on size of book. This one however removes all the formatting and pictures from book. You will have to copy paste all text to a txt file for converting it to jar. Works well on Nokia.

What I use is something called mobipocket reader. This is another free app to read ebooks on your mobile. The main advantage of this one is it retains all the formatting and images present in pdf files. I have converted one book which had over 1000 pages and plenty of images. The final size f book was around 30MB probably coz of the pics. It worked fine.

Dont know if these work on gm200, but it does work flawlessly on 5130XM.

Hari, 30 Nov 2009Is this phone supports any pdf?No Hari, this phone doesn't come with a pdf reader just like all other phones in this segment. If you are actually referring to E-books, then this phone comes with native support for reading text files. It can be very handy at times. You can also backup your entire message box into a single text file and share with your friends. PDF readers and all are actually meant for smart phones. Even if phones in this range support pdf, it is by installing 3rd party java applications which has many limitations like the kind of scripts or content and the file size of the document etc. It is never a practical alternative. For text content, there is an option to save a pdf document in .txt format which can be done using adobe reader and the saved text file can be transferred and viewed easily without the need for 3rd party apps. This is what I usually do with all my E-books and stuff.

If you are all looking for an affordable but superb pair of earphones, I'd strongly suggest the Sony MDR-ED12LP BASS BOOST earphones. It costs around 790Rs. if you are looking for a decent sounding pair of earphones without burning a hole in you pocket, then look no further. Trust me, I've done my homework. The sounds are well balanced with lots of Bass. that is always a sony speciality. I've tried a bunch of others like the Philips SHH9700 inear buds, and even the SE HPM-72. Nothing comes even close in terms of sound output and rich bass. It is also available in five metallic colours. I've been using the red one for morethan one year and haven't faced any probs till now.
Here's the link.. just check out the specs

There is an option to set your personal mp3 or any other music files as message tones. the only downside is that the tone duration is confined to a maximum of 10 seconds. In profiles under message tones at the top there is the external memory. Open it and set the tone you like. The songs are automatically cropped irrespective of the song length or bit rates.

I would suggest sony buds, with 16ohms impedance for superb bass and treble experience. good thing about their bud style earphones is that it greatly isolate the outside noise allowing your ears to focus on the music details. But its not advisable to jog around parks or streets while listening to it. You might just accidentally topple down or bump into something. hehe

well ppl please use some common sense befor harassing any model..not all people can buy high end phones but when they are to buy a phone of their budget they have certain expectations bout tat phone..nokia 5130,samsung s3500,lg gm200, sony s312&f305 are popular phones with price around rs 5k..if music clarity s all u care about then lg gm200 s made 4 u..if its camera tat u need its sony s312 gaming then sony f305.. nokia 5130 and samsung s3500 are 2 solid phones of this category .. the nokia s got lot faster UI and nearly same cam as the LG but box earphones are inferior u will have 2 invest 1k more 4 better earphones to match LG..samsung s solid made its a bit of everything except gaming.got lots of cool features ...only the f305 s the gaming phone with motion sensor though personally i found it unimpressive..Lg performs poorly when multitasked lik listenin 2 music and texting. but it delivers what it was made 4 MUSIC..taking these into consideration grab yo phone from d market:)
