many of the network providers doesnot have internet settings for this phone. Airtel works fine with this phone

i was confused between 5130, s3310 and gm200.
I think i'll go for 5130...good screen, thousands of programs, games and themes...and SMS storage is something like 20,000+. BTW its not optical zoom...its digital zoom.
samsung S3310 can store only 200+ sim messages...around 250 SMS. and there is no themes and softwares. .jar & .jad doesnt work.

Good looking. It's a very good phone on the area of sound, but not so good in messaging (SMS) and its storage (a total of 150 only!!). Funny thing is that it does not have 'newline' option in messaging. Also poor on running applications. Does not support themes. Screen resolution maybe a problem for those who tries to get those clear images. No optical zoom for still camera, but has one for video camera. Earphone that comes with the package is too big for a normal human ear.

I wrongly mentioned Dolby and DTS,
it is mp3 5.1 using fraunhofer IIS mp3 sx converter.
you can able to hear clear surround sound for more details search for fraunhofer IIS mp3 sx. And data sheet option and software on rapidshare.

You are right Iam talking about film tracks. convert original tracks to mp3 using TVC. then try to convert using fraunhofer IIS mp3 sx.

DTS through stereo wont sound good.

Now all original tracks uses DTS and Dolby technology not stereo. I think you are encoded in Stereo. Now you try to encode in Dolby converter and hear the songs.
we never says nokia 5130 had bad sound. People should invite the newer technologies what ever brand it is.
this phone is purely for sound not for display or any other big applications. display quality is good but not best it uses 176*220 resolution. moreover dont compare with Ipod it had better music not the best.

samsung S3310 and S3500 have best music quality in this price range. LG is just crap, look at the screen resolution and the design is really bad. samsung rocks...better than lg, SE walkman and nokia xpressmusic. so i suggest all of you to buy s3310 or s3500.

How many for you gm200 lovers bashing 5130's music quality have really listened to 5130???
When 5130 was released it was put up against the mighty SE flagship W995 in terms of audio quality...mind you its a phn that cost more than 4 times 5130...and it won respect frm SE and W995 fans. It was too close to say which one sounds better. And here you see ppl talking abt some fancy dolby sound effect and why it sounds better than 5130. Now tell me how many bands or artist encode music in dolby or surround sound. Its always in stereo.

arun, 16 Jul 2009hello nokias stereo widening in nokia is different and GM 2... morenow no true music lover will like to hear anything that is not present in the original...the best audio device is the one which reproduces the original sound which the makers(composer, singer, band etc) of that music with as little deviation as possible. It shd sound the way it is intended to sound and not like some modified music..Its knw as originality....what use is it when music lacks originality??? It shd sound as its supposed to sound. As simple as that.

if someone being a musiclover dont want to carry an ipod along with his mobile,then GM200 is the best option for him.in terms of music output GM200 is way ahed from NOKIA 5130XM.but the display and softwere support is better in the latter.
