It's only like LG (reportedly) making about 80% of the LCD panels that we see in todats tv's - all manufacturers. Also I know in the 2008 ranges panasonic & Samsung were using the same screens! So what's so 'funny' about companies sharing technology??

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2009actualy the first touchscreen phone is the SE p800i which w... moreActually, touch screen phones have been around for way longer than the p800. Nokia experimented with this technology and even made a new series of symbian for touch. This was the 7700. Even alcatel made a touch enabled phone back in 1998, the ot com. And there might have been even older models. I'm not saying that alcatel invented the wheel, but apple are relative late comers to the touch screen game. Anyway, i wouldn't buy an iphone just because of all the fuss that was made over this technologically backwards phone. I don't care for user friendly menus. Geezers don't know how to use phones, not me! What i care about is stable multitasking and plenty of software. Note software, not games. The iphone has plenty of the latter but too little of the former. Symbian and winmo have way more usefull applications than you can find in the appstore. Personaly, i prefer symbian, but seeing as how i can't seem to find a decent touch enabled symbian, winmo isn't that bad either... This seems to be a branded version of the arena from what i can tell. Vodafone has done this before with the 6120 and the 6124. There's only going to be a slight price advantage for the branded model, that's all...
