The phone is great by his specifications but the touch screen is not like on iPhone. I would say its 6 out of 10 so its not so great.

These model of LG is one of the best. First thing is realy good touch screen,good sound, beautiful look, wery fast with every operation. Batery is good. meaby only video isnt so good. Enyoy in these phone :)

Hi everyone.
I have to share my experience with GT500.
First of all, it have i very high touch design.
The features ares good.
But the poor of it it was the performance.
Ok i begin
1 - The radio, doesn't work so ok, it captures the stations 10, 20 point after. I had my station 99.2 and in the phone i have to got it on the 100.4.
2 - The wireless disconnect all the time.
I make searchs on google and after displaing the page the wireless goes down.
3 - The camera have a very high quality. But if i want to zoom the picture. I need before to downgrade de quality image to can zoom.
4 - The T9. Very poor, he suggest words, till now ok. Imagine the phone have the word "Olaias". And you are typing "Oi" and type space it write the suggested word: "Olaias". To add words in the dictionoary it's sucks so.
5 - The GPS only work with internet connection, and no GPS programs working to.
6 - The battery level only update when the level was down. How like, i was 4 days using it, and the battery level was 100% and i think, JESUS, i was 2 days listening musing in the bus, i was playing games, 100%??? Fantastic!!!! Ok Murphy Law: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong" the battery begin to sign low battery that moment and 5 minutes after no more power.
People, i was very disgustted, for my chance i bought it unlocked in a FNAC. And they returned my money.

i'm planning to buy a phone and i have narrowed it down to lg gt505, samsung monte,samsung star samsung corby pro and nokia 5530? what i'm looking for in a phone is screen clarity, effective accelerometer and touchscreen (where it takes a millisecond for the screen to respond), camera with flash that takes clear photos (not necessarily high pixel), with java and can install jar files, with document viewer (especially pdf and word coz i install ebooks), and the wifi is not so sluggish, and can install maps whether google, ovimaps or etc. i hope someone can help me decide which is the best. I'm not really particular whether the phone is 3g or not as long as the above are there. thanks
