Anyone know why it refuse to recognize my 16G SD card?
"External Memory" is grayed out on the phone but if I connect it to my computer with USB I can see the drive content...

LG GW300 is a great phone. Very good in battery life and tough enough for everyone. It's been 5 years i am using it. I dropped it badly a few times. Nothing happens. Connectivity anad reception rate is great. It has all features for a basic talk & text phone. Can't say nothing wrong about the phone but my thanks to LG. Thumbs up.

Hi, all --I have owned & used this phone's identical twin, the LG900, for 4 years, and I still enjoy it. Java phones are great for folks who don't need or want an Android or iPhone. The QWERTY keyboard is easier for me to use in texting, and is one reason I bought it.
Over time, I have learned how to make the most of it's capabilities.
You certainly CAN use it on the internet! Most important thing first: use the phone's crummy browser to download some version of the Opera Mini browser for java. The current one is Opera Mini 8.
Once you have a decent browser installed, you'll find there are still quite a few websites that have free java apps(free is good!)
Oh, and the mp3 player is nice. I download songs to a microSD card, then put in the phone. With a patch cord to my car stereo aux.jack, I can
be my own dj, with no commercials.
I realize my 200 min. a month "dumbphone" plan in't for everyone, but it suits me for now.
That's it now. Just hated to see the poor ol' gw300/lg900 get a bad rap.

I own this phone and after seeing all the reviews I think a lot of you have the LG gossip pro not the LG gossip. This phone is NOT a smartphone, but it's good for calling and texting which a phone is meant to do. It's good for the basics. I have no idea why people are complaining about not being able to download apps when this is clearly NOT a smartphone.

I do not recommend this phone for anyone. It is slow, has an ugly UI,it just sucks. I can tell you, I've had 1 for 4 years.
