GX200 owners have some questions:
1 - Is it possible to put MP3's into the memory card for mobile phone (except the default rate)?
2 - you put the card into MP3 for alarm to wake you (other than the default rate)?
3 - Is it possible to put the memory card for MP3's Sms (other than the default rate)?
4 - Is it possible to put different songs for each card there?
5 - Do not install software on the memory card, and you can be about 79 megabytes of free memory to install the software?
6 - Your phone is blacklisted?

This phone is awful.No update in a few years and have many faults.but the stand by time is wonderful.

I'm really fully satisfied with this handset, it is really dependable and provide excellent options at this price range overcomming the big manufacturers samsung and nokia, I bought it just yestrday after reviewing all your positive openions about GX 200 it's price in Egypt = 375 LE = 65 $- I recommend this phone for all users seeking dependable battery life, nice shape handset, excellent network reception, exellent audio in playback and comunication and the nice code 2945#*# which access menu with many adjustments to all phone options

Lately got problem with my gx200 unit. Though both sim 1 and sim 2 has full signal..yet i can't receive any texts or calls. I tried to call my phone (GX200) using my father's phone, then the operator answered "THE NUMBER YOU HAVE DIALLED IS OUT OF COVERAGE" since both sim 1 and sim 2 has signal...
so far that's the only problem i've encountered..battery is the best... lasts for about 5-7 days...

If you want to record your call automatically, go advanced menu.

then go "Audio", then "Auto record setting", then "Auto speech record" set to "on". note that when you see "off" at the screen, it means "on"

hey guys. i have used this fone for about 3 months. here are my findings. firstly the battery time is really outstanding. if you dont use your phone that much it will easily go above ten days. with one hour of call daily and some smses the phone lasts for 5 to 6 days. so the battery time is really great. the next good thing is call recording. you can record calls on this phone which are stored in amr format. sound in earphone during calls is clear and loud enough. never had any problem hearing the other party in even noisy environments. so excellent battery, good sound in earphones, dual sim, the phone fulfills its primary purpose perfectly. one small problem however is that whenever your end a call the phone becomes unusable for about 4 seconds when it displays call summary and status. during this time you have to wait, even the red button is of no help. this is very frustating when the other party you are calling is busy or on waiting and your have to make many redial attempts quickly. but this situation is quite rare. so not that much of a problem.
as for messaging, the phone has a nice keypad for typing. it is not perfect in terms of feed back but much better than most of the phones around. so typing is a fun on this phone. however the message storing capacity is a let down. i thing the sms memory becomes full after 300 smses and the more frustrating part is yet to come... the fone does not supprot making folders in messaging. you have no option but to do a delete all operation which deletes all your messages from a certain folder like inbox or outbox. there are certain messages that i want to keep for later reference or as a record. which is not possible on this phone. one option is to move the message to drafts folder but that keeps the message body and deletes the number from which the messasge was received. really annoying. so be careful. its a real issue. my 6310i is way better is this area and offers option to make and move my messages to custom folders in messaging. so the limited sms capacity and lack of folders in messaging is very big disadvantage. those who text a lot will be disappointed.
the phone has very poor quality display. but thats ok. for usual tasks thats not a problem. for image or video viewing it is simply a no go. there are only two built in themes and of these only one is decent enough. the other is useless. i also tried to install normal java games but the low quality display was simple not enough to play these.
the camera is quite good. video is also usable. you can use flash but for every image or video your need to turn on the flash manually. over all the camera is nice. the pictures look nice but only when view on computer, the phones display is crap for viewing images or videos. as far as the phones software goes, it is very good. you can assign any application to shortcut on the standby. so accessing any application is one button press away. the sound of the speaker is just ok but not great. the audio player is ok but there is a noticeable delay of about 3 sec whenever you play any file.
other good things include charging support via usb cable, one touch access to torch, mobile tracker. hope this is helpful to lot of people out there. thx
