Can anyone tell me how to switch the load speaker on, i prefer to talk into the handset than have it stuck to my ear and I cannot seem to be able to find it, I thought it would be the little button on the left hand side of the handpiece which looks like a little megaphone, but this just puts the keypad numbers back on the screen for when you have those lovely calls that say press 1 for this, 2 for that, and 3 for nothing at all. Help required anyone, I dont think that LG have excelled theirselves with the guide book for this model.

I just got it today, but no reception at my place (BC, Canada). I love it so much except for this problem. Does anyone know how to fix ? Otherwise I have to return it in 2 days.

@ People having problems
I've heard nothing but people having problems with just about everything this phone does. You should send it off to be repaired when you have a problem instead of coming on here. People who post aren't experts, the best advice anyone can give you is take it back!!

well i dont have anything nice to say AT ALL!! i HATE this phone! i have only had it 4 long months and firstly my problems started like all of the other people out there with the alarm not working... constantly making me late for work!!
then the date would always be wrong!!
then the time!!
then it would all of a sudden decide to freeze!! the only way to fix it was to pull the battery out!!
then one day i went to open a message and low and behold it had once again frozen!! taking the battery out and placing it back in again, it would not turn back on for a whole 3 hours!!
once i finally got it back on it would turn itself off again, straight after the prada opening symbol??
finally when it decided to committ itself to staying on, i would make phone calls but then when i wanted to hang up..that wasnt an option!! so my phone bill would go on and on until the other person on the other end hung up!! NO HOUSE CALLS!!
then when i finally took the dumb arse phone back the guy in the shop took the battery out to have a look at the codes and when i left i tried to turn the phone back on it just wouldnt!! and that is where i am at now....with a shit LG PRADA that doesnt even turn on and if it did i still wouldnt want it!!
after sending it back to be repaired i was told i had moisture damage!! when i can swear it has been near NO WATER at all this is proved by my battery symbol still being white!! the moisture damage can apparently be from putting it in your pocket.WHO DOESNT PUT THEIR PHONE IN THEIR POCKET?? the utterly rude customer service you recieve from LG itself is ridiculous, with them disconnecting me 4 times...i have just given up. but if i can stop one person from buying this display phone then i am happy.
my sister and friend both have this phone and both are starting to act like mine.
my friend hers is up to the alarm stage and my sisters is up to the i dont want to turn on stage.
DONT BUY!! ITS NOT WORTH IT!! NOW I HAVE TO BUY A NEW PHONE AND BUY OUT MY 2YR CONTRACT!!
LG NEED TO ADMITT THEY HAVE MADE THE SHITTEST PHONE ON THE MARKET TO DATE AND REFUND THESE PHONES. STICK TO WASHING MACHINES AND TUMBLE DRYERS LG!!!

hey,i've got 2 major problems with this phone.the first being that it's battery life doesnt last at all,few calls and few vibratoins get's it off.second being the meamory always reads full when i've got 93% free.these aside,lovely phone.i show it off alot,and everyone likes it!

K. Had this phone for 4months. best part i like about it is when i show off to ppl. especially ladies. mm.
found 2 problems tho.
1. sometimes alarm doesn't ring. i don't know why. some ppl suggested turn off phone and turn back on and it will fix but no use.
most times, it will work, but just when u need most, alarm never sound. this is common issue ppl having btw.
2. sometimes date doesn't change. and sometimes date go back to previous date.
also a common issue.
other than that, no other problem, and i love the phone.

Hi folks, got myself a prada, and after 5 days i'm really wishing I hadnt, it wont connect to my computer, but did manage to download some screensavers and wallpapers from a web site I found on this forum, but the phone keeps saying "File not supported" and if I try to bluetooth stuff from my old phone it says "Memory full" even though I only had approx 90 contacts on the phone and this was before I downloaded the screen stuff, it has a memory card in it, any ideas??? Please help, this is going to be a long 12 months on this contract using this phone, wish I had stuck to my previous phone as it looks like this one will be going out of the window pretty soon.

iPhone and Prada are NOTHING alike! the only thing they have in common is the fact they are mobile phones and they have a touchscreen. iPhone was created as an entertainment phone and this was created to appease the fashion victims of society.

.lolz, for people who keep comparing this fone with iPhone or say Prada is a copy of iPhone, from my research i believe LG launched this one first before iPhone, am i right? so should iPhone be a copy of Prada version!?
.scratches: without screen protector, it is TOO obvious for touchscreen phones -> try it on iPhone if you don't believe
.delaying date: happened to me as well as some users have also complained about this problem
.other than that, good fone and features for me personally

I have a T9 texting question, What do you push to look at all the possible word choices using T9? for example, if i type the word "go" in T9, it shows up as "in". Is there a way to change this word to what I wanted?

To acces to your voice mail you need to key your password, but it's true, the key pad does nothigh.
To fix this, you have to go to the main menu, settings, call, send DTMF tones and select "on".

You make a strong point, but i have the viewty and i am still so tempted to buy this phone just to show of the logo. At "dial a phone" its just £150.00- OMG i want it. When you see them both face to face however, the urg to buy both drops. But i love the box and casing that u get with the prada. I still wont buy it though- i think :)

I fail to see the point of this phone. Why are people buying this and not the Viewty? This phone lacks in comparision to the Viewty and appears to only attract buyers because it says "Prada". If you would like a "Prada phone" I am currently opening a buisness called 'We Write Designer Names On Your Phone And Charge You For It'
I have a feeling the buisness is going to go OFF!
