I own the Prada phone and live in Canada...
The reception isn't bad at all. I wish it was a quad band though...
The Prada phone is my first touchscreen phone and I love it!

Hi there, can you please tell me if the LG Prada phone has the facility to lock individual programs with PIN numbers, such as text messages and access to the Web.
Many thanks.

today (1/12/07) i got my new prada phone, i was really looking forward to it, until i came to use it, being female & having fairly long finger nails, i couldn't use the touch screen very easily my nails kept getting in the way, so for me its quiet dissappointing.

The features are not bad on this phone, they are your average mobile phone features, it's not a smart phone and doesn't pretend to be. It's a simple and very easy to use phone. And it's not hard to use at all. It does take time to get used to the touch screen, especially when texting but after two weeks of having this phone I text just as fast as I used to with a normal keypad. If your worried about scratching buy an Invisable Shield like I did, very thin stick on membrane, covers the whole front and back and you can only notice it's there if you look very closely. I keep my phone in my pocket with a bunch of keys and never get a mark.
If you want the same style with more features then get the KS20 which should be out soon as that's a proper smart phone.
There's no point slagging a phone off because it doesn't have every gadget under the sun on it, not everybody wants all that!

Great phone! Very simple to use, and wonderful touchscreen interface. Have never had a problem with it. To the people who whine about it getting scratched, get a life! Seriously, every phone on the market is susceptible to scratches. Just look at the iPod. I have 2 and they are scratched to hell. The truth is this phone is tough as nails. I have dropped it so many times and it even fell out of my pocket and hit the sidewalk while running down the street. Just a couple of scratches. To the person who said the prada peels off. You must of bought a fake prada phone cause it is embedded in the plastic or something. I have tried scratching at mine. It would take a nail file to get it off. To everyone out there who keeps whining about it not having this or that. Give me a break you seriously need to get a life. Not every phone is made the same. Not every phone has wifi, gps, or every other thing that is not needed on this phone. If you want that stuff then go buy a phone with that stuff on it. I own many other phones, including some of the latest windows phones. When I am working and need to be productive I use them. If I just want a cool phone for the day I use my prada phone. Its that simple people. If you want a phone that dosen't scratch then but a latex glove around your phone. The fact is if you are going to go out and drop $400 to $600 on a phone go do some research on it, go play around with it at the store. Ask questions, does it have what I want, or what I need? I'm sure if you were buying a new TV, or car you would do that.

Does the Prada have the same scroll function as the Viewty and iPhone? Or do you have to use the annoying side scroll bar?

I got the Prada phone yesterday and it is amazing. I though it was going to be really difficult to use becasue of the touch screen, but it's not as bad as you may think...I got the hang of it in minutes and I am not a tech friendly kind of person. The design is fab and it's light...the menus are very easy to use and simple...all in all a great phone!! YOu will not be dissapointed!
