I was wondering if this would be a good phone for my mum? She only makes calls and sms's! Is it stylish? And problems with calls? Does it have loudspeaker!

glen, 12 Jun 2008hi can anyone help ..about the sd card in this kg290 when t... morewell man u juss need to do. that which pic or any memory u want to transfer to external is to go in option there will be a writen as Files select it and then there will be MOVE TO EXTERNAL memory select it . The memory will be move to extarnal memory okay....... i hope u got it . . .

hi can anyone help ..about the sd card in this kg290 when transfering via bluetooth it says not enough memory ??? i have formatted the card but need to change the memory to external ...has the hand book dont say

regarding the GPRS / WAP browser...it so does not want to gon onto any sites at all. so if you are looking for a phone to google etc; dont get this phone.it is to old and slow.very nice and perfect if you are 60 years old of age yes.

Advice please? Althugh my 2gB microSD is formatted and verified in the FAT file system it will not not see more than 5 music folders which is a fraction of the card capacity. The folders were copied using via a reader and MS explorer. No advice is provided in the manual.

I dont find it as good as nokia 6300 and samsung U600. cam result is bad whereas battery timing is week.

this little phone appears to be a great buy - very cheap, great radio, ok camera (but what do you expect for £35)and now I've eventually worked out how to use the mp3 via the sd card with the help and advice from this forum I am most impressed. It took a bit of getting used to but now I am just about to order one for my daughter!

What does the layout look like on the KG290? Is it similar to the LG Chocolate? Is the quality of the screen good?

The internal memory of this is very small so you cannot use bluetooth for file more than 4mb and also the data cable of this phone is not available in the market and if you use some similar data cable then a message display on screen that "this function is not available in this phone" so think twicley while purchasing this phone.

Last week I had bought the LG KG290 off of the website ebay. It came in today and after placing my SIM chip into it, the phone seems to have everything transfered over to it correctly. My problem, however, is everytime I try to make a call, it responds with "Emergency Calls Only" and exits out to the main screen. I cannot recieve any incoming calls or texts, or send any out. I do not know if this is because my contract is AT&T / Cingluar (even though the phone can support it) but my SIM chip seems to double as an 850 and 1900 MHz frequency when the phone cannot support 850, but it can support 1900. My other guess is that the phone might not be unlocked, even though the website claimed it was.

does the screen really "malfunction" easily i.e. if u drop it by accident does it break..?
