to tabish regarding connecing phone to PC
mass storage mode is to use phone as Pen Drive. if You choose this mode then phone will shut down. If you have a PC having WinXP/Win2000 then A windows will open and ask you to play/browse etc the device. select browse.
In case of Win98 you have to install a USB driver.
In case of COM Port nothing will happen as such. You have to install the COM Port Driver for it. You will also have to download and install Phonesuite form LG site (Search for Kg300 software). This will allow you - 1. to copy/save your phonebook 2. To Connect to Internet through GPRS ( Depends on GPRS provider)

it's a very good phone i ever used...,
currently i am using 1Gb memory card. can we extend memory further?????

i have been using it for last 6 months ;
it didnt have any problem except the low battery back up;but one day it got turned off automatically,and whenever i try to get it turned on, it shows low low battery, and gets off;
can anybody tell me the solution for this prob? i wud greatfull to u;;;
will it be any software problems?
i bought it from abroad& i live in india, so i cannot claim any service from the company
so pls tell me;;

for installing jar applications in kg 300 u require jad files. u can download the jad file maker from the net. After creating jad file u copy the .jar and .jad file in ur mobile. Thereafter, install the .jad file. ur software is loaded. hope this solves the problem.

hi to every one
u just bought this phone yesterday ...gud features economicaly bcoz all other brands do not give this much things in this range ... okzz now here is the problem m facing that it is not commecting to pc through the usb port .. when i connect it for the first tym it shows option of mass storage n com port but after that it didnt show any thing n now when m connecting it ...it didnt show any thing neither on phone nor on pc that any thing is connected... what i should i do???

hi guys.i've been using this phone for last 4 mounts.truly should say that i found just a few problems or better to say disadvantages that comes bellow:
1-the internal processor is weak (for example when you press MENU,it takes 2seconds to load or when you move some data it takes too long)
2-you cannot save your sms on memory card and it only got 2 options as sim & phone that both are low spaced.
3-sms incoming tones are limitted to just 5 low volumed rings that usually is unhearable.
4-the framware says the bluetooth path is changable but it only can get incoming BT in ( phone memory:\recive ) directory.
5-if your LCD suddenly broken you must pay one thered of the phone price to just change it.
6-i have nothing to say right now

Many new Users of KG300 are feeling problem in sound of the set,for Improving sound follow these steps,sound will be improved a lot:
Regarding 2945#*# after pressing it you will see "Engineering mode" on the screen
Below are the options present
1)Version
2)Network Info
3)Device
4)Audio
etc.
Select "Audio" option,then u will see following options
1)Set mode
2)Normal mode
3)Loud sp mode
4)Headset mode
5)Ring tone
6)speech enhencement
7)max swing
firstly select "set mode" and select "Normal mode"
then press "back" button and then go inside "2) normal mode"
Inside that u will see
1)FIR
2)Speech
3)Keytone
4)Melody
5)Sound
in these options firstly select "FIR" and set it to "FIR 5",this will improve your mobile call receiving quality to great extent
next select "Melody"
inside this option you will see
Volume 0
Volume 1
Volume 2
Volume 3
Volume 4
Volume 5
Volume 6
in this Volume can be increased till 255 but make Volume 6 to "205"and Volume 5 to "185" near about. Dont increase too much sound it will detoriate the quality,do not change any other setting.after doing press right soft key ,you will see option "Update parameters".press ok,
and your settings are done,Believe me it will improve the sound qualities to a great extent and your all sound problems will be solved.

hi this a very goood phone,very nice look,keypad is very good for typing msg sound quality is tooo goood and loud.two things i dislike that themes are not installed and camera is not autofocus but overall its very goood phone in such a low price.i advice the nokia users pls buy this phone if they wanted to hear the loud music in clear sound.

I purchase it in 2 month ago after a few week my bluetooth started to be out of run but i dont consider it very important problem but i must be wary about that no more time last for it and afet a 3 or 4 day i thought , it was defected and being out of availabitity ,tell me more about this defect grateful so.

I activated "high speed sim" in "engineer mode" in my lg kg300. Now my phone neither restarts nor charges.mail me at mufasal@gmail.com.
Anybody knows about it, please treat it urgent.
