When the phone asks for Mass Storage/COM Port, just cancel it, by pressing the red button. And you can charge the phone from USB.

Keep the display brightness at 3 or lower. It will increase the battery by around 4-5 hours. Its the only way

The minus things in this phones are Low battery life, bad camera quality, Below average earphones, and slow operation...
But this phone is great for watching movies. One favourite pasttime I have found out now :D

I bought LG KG300 two days before and found it very good except battery timings because I had a great difficulty in use because it timings are so short atleast 10 to 12 hours only.
Please solve my problem if there is a problem in my mobile.
I Shall be waiting to your answer.

cool fone , but when connect to PC in USB mode it turned auto shutdown.so missess cals.Anyone know to solve problem?

Step One :-)
Connect Your Phone Set to your PC through USB , and Save a (.jar) setup file on your Mobile's Memory .
Then Discoonect it from Your PC and Switch the Mobile On.
Now go to MyStuff in your Cell and go to the file you just stored in your memory through PC. In the options of that Java Setup File you will Find INSTALL , Click taht and its Installed !!!!!!! TADA !!!!!!!

daud,your question for forwarding the song.In kg300 there is no option to forward it or reverse it.Its just to go ahead to next song or previous.

i am philgin from kerala.this is a best phone for a new generation youth just like looking quality fecility connectivity like usb charging is a good feature comparing nokia.nokia companys r&d is good but they r limiting fecilitys for money and not transfering techonology to public lgs kg300 is good answer good luck lg r&d thanks for this invension

i wud like to comment on the functioning of operamini.i have tried both the lofi n hifi versions.although this phone supports java midp 2.0 and should ideally be running the hifi version like a charm,sadly this isnt the case.u can see the slow performance whenever u r scrolling.the lofi version howerever is much better in this regard.but from what i have noticed is that both the versions crash after brwsing for a while.the beta 4 however,tho a bit slow,doesnt and is the one that gets the work done.
last time i checked the operamini wap site wasnt able to detect my lg kg300 therefore implying that its not officially supported (or checked for its probs by the opera staff).nokia phones usually get detected n that means that they have been tested although their might not be a customised version for evaery phone,but it ensure compatibility.

Please tell me how to set caller ring tone for specific person. i can't do it. when i go into entry options -- to selected entry, it show empty and i can not do anything with the phone.

friends regarding software download.. please note that this phone support java so java software and games can run on it. two things to be noted :
1. JVM is very slow so phone not suited for playing high activity java games like racing fighting etc.
2. total space provided for java is 2mb... this meant you can have approx 15 java software ( with avegage size 150 KB)
other symbian based software (for nokia phone) will not run on this phone.
i have tested/used following java software/game working good
1. Chessmaster ............ Very good but slow compared to nokia
2. OperaMini 3.1 Very good ... dont use operamini beta v4 .. not working
3. MobyExplorer .... excellant... very fast and efficient
4. Sudoku by cellufun ... good
to install them... 1. if someone else have the jar file get it into ur phone through pc connectivity or bluetooth, and open the file... it will start the installer.
or download it from such sites as wap.getjar.com, downloader will automatically install the software.
