is LG KG300 supports themes and screen savers and wht about its sound is it gud or average plz solve my prob i am waiting because i want to buy a fone and i am really confused

I just purchase the KG300, it's really nice with good camera(2MP) and mp3 player.But with pc Sync just only phone book can transfer.
Over all the phone rating is very high.

I bought LG KG-300 yesterday due to its funations. I m unable to change the background color of the main menu, can anybody help or there is not any option / feature to change the said screen color.
I shall be thankful. Regards Arshi.

The PC Suite of KG300 has very limited functionality. Does anybody know if PC Sync of KG330 can be used with KG300 ? I tried it, but could not connect phone to PC, as only COM1 port was being shown, and not COM4, on which KG300 connects.
Also, does anybody know where can I get USB Modem drivers for Windows XP 64 bit system ?

hi,i am using this mobile for last 5 months,
It is working great. it is not getting slow when i am using 1 GB memory card.no hangs also.
some of the + points are:
1.camera is very good.
2.very good mp3 player.
3.battery life is good for talking,u can use it's battery upto 4 hours for talking purpose and u can listen music 13 hours using headphone.(tested).
4.screen clarity is very good.
5.user friendly software.
some -pints are:
1.image viewing is slow.
2.message capacity is low(80)
3.inbuilt games are bad.
in a whole it is very good phone at a price Rs.7600.bcoz at this price what it is offering no phone in market can challenge it.

i bought this phone 3 weeks ago, i think this is the best phone that LG has produced. It's cheap, it costs about 1,6 million rupiah in indonesia. It has a good screen resolution and also 2mp camera. Bluetooth is okay, it doesn't connect to nokia, especially 3250 but it works to the other brands such as motorola and samsung. It has a good music player, especially if you buy a 2,5 mm connector to 3,5 mm u can connect any headphones that u like. Try to connect it with sony or senheiser earphones, you'll be amazed, the sound quality is much better than SE walkman phones. Compare to x700, LG is better, bigger screen and resolution and good mp3 player.

For all you who concern "NO CD on the LG KG300 Package" but want to backing up or restoring your phonebook to/from CSV format, you can follow these steps:
1. Download from GSM ARena - Click "Manual" icon below the picture of KG300. Download "PC Sync software". Install it into your computer.
2. Power on your phone. Connect your phone with your PC using USB cable, your have to select option "Mass Storage" OR "COM PORT". In this case, select "COM PORT" then your phone can connect to the internet via COM 3,4, or 5. (Note: Select Mass Storage" then you will have G: drive for extended memory and H: for phone memory to organise your music, images, photos, and sounds).
3. Run PC Sync software you have already installed. Go to Settings, select COM PORT as the phone give you. Click "PhoneBook" icon, then answer "yes" the "Do you want to connect".
4. Enjoy, from now you can keep your phonebook safe.
Note: If you want to restore your CSV file from your old handphone (difference sequence of data), you can translate your CSV data to XLS or DBF using Office of Dbase program. Add/Delete/Arrange the data column which match the KG300 format). The format you set has to be based on the ACTIVE fields of LG phonebook you choose. Please read your manual.

Guys, Trust me this is a GEM of a phone! have tried all the features, mp3/usb/camera still(2 MP yes its a 2MP and NOT 1.3)/Video recording/FM/Bluetooth everything is so perfect.GO FOR IT!!! ,Dont Wait for the reviews etc , go to any of the shop and take demo by yourself. I bet your hand will automatically move towards your wallet to own this piece. Trust me it happened with me.

I have loaded 512MB card on it carrying 160 MP3 songs besides video coverage on 56MB phone memory.It is playing superb with stereo sound kept on ROCK mode.FM recording is wonderful.SO many features on this price of Rs7700 I have not seen in any cellphone. Those who criticise it do not know A B C of cell phones

Hi all
Overall a good phone .keyboard is ok, soon you get accustomed to it. The menu is typical of LG and SE types very very friendly.Blue tooth is wonderful, sound quality excellent from speaker phone too. Equalizer is good, mp3 playback volume is not as loud as nokia but quality definitely better than some nokia sets.
battery life is a concern undoubtedly.I knew it beforehand.But somethings have to be compromised if you need a FM recorder, 2MP camera with unlimited recording, voice ringtone, excellent screen, very good video playback(thats what i wanted - this phone has a video playback with full screen and you can fast forward and rewind the movie and also adust its speed of playback 1/2 to 4x....now isnt it wonderful.
Its much lighter than nokia models and its caveats have to be ignored in light of its unique features.
Its for those who need a 2MP camera phone with FM recording, memory card expansion slot,dedicated music and camera keys, conversation recording,USB charging, bluetooth, full screen playback(excellent) and live in area of good signal quality (that increases the battery life to 3 1/2 days - my battery lasts 3 days and if i dont use a camera it lasts 3 1/2 days

asalam-o-alaikum.
since i want to purchase this mobile(KG-300) so it is good to have some information about it.i have already read all of the opinions that you people have mentioned,uptil page 3.after reading those opinions,now i am hestitating to buy this mobile(KG-300), because some of your opinions are conflicting eachother.that is someone has written that "is their really an fm-radio",while some other says that "we can also record songs through fm-radio".and their are many other problems,i wanted myself to be fully awared of this mobile before buying it.
1- is its camera quality better than nokia 6600.
2- for how long we can record a video in it.
3- how much messages we can store overall, whether in inbox,sent items,folders e.t.c
4- is the audio recording option available.
5- how is the sound quality of this mobile

this fone has FM and it gives ability to record FM for 1 hour at 64 kpbs WMA (stereo)\

The biggest drwback of the is mobile phone(KG300) is its shortest battery backup and that really sucks.

I don't think this phone is good for lots of message sending.
Battery life is a big minus, excellent screen is a big plus.
Software, named PC Suite, is another minus, and so is the fact that Windows XP 64 bit drivers are not available.
Camera quality is good, sound is OK.
A strange problem I am facing it that sometimes, not always, the phone asks for "Power ON ?" after the alarm has rung. This message should only come if phone was in "off" mode when alarm rung, but it comes even if phone is on. Moreover, irrespective of whether I press "Yes" or "No" in response to above message, the phone switches itself off. This creates a slight problem.
Another infrequent problem is that phone switches itself off when time comes for some scheduled task, without giving alarm for that task. These must be software related problems, but "factory reset" option did not help.

Does it really have FM radio? In some advertisments,LG's are shown as having FM radio ,but they do not heave in reality.......

I just got this phone today. And have already fallen in love with it. Got it for Rs 7710 (Delhi) with a free 512MB micro SD card. For it's price, it is seemed to be the best one around. Had thought of getting a Sony, but the only advantage that Sony had was the sound, but it cost much higher. Will post a detailed review on my blog once I'm though with testing it for every feature. It does deserve the 'Dynamite' nickname.

its a nice mob with long back up but its camra is really slow.why the optin come save the pics it should be automatic saving.plus i hve kG 200 but some days a go here i got a problem of not charging.what should i do its in warrnty.thx
