the only thing i am wondering about this phone- these touch screen buttons.. am i able to lock them up so they wont be active when being in my purse??

If this is the same as LG MG810 here in Brazil, I´m very disappointed with it!! First of all, it doesn´t have camera Flash, as you can see in its picture! The signal is so poor, tha I´m constantly without service in the middle of downtown, banks and other areas, the service is available only in open areas; It only registers 10 dialed, 10 missed and 10 received calls; It simply doesn´t support setting MP3 for alarm sound; We can´t minimize the MP3 player, the only way you can have a GIF image in your phone is by receiving it from MMS messages,the phone software doesn´t support this function, it doesn´t support screen themes, it has only one alarm, and has no snooze; only MP3 files are accepted,no wma; No voice dialing, and my phone has a "BUG" - The text messages always come with wrong date and time, besides it passed a "time" in the tecnical assistance! I bought this phone must because of its look, it really is a beautiful phone, but the lack of signal gets me peaced off. I payed a very expensive price and of course I should have choosen the SE phones.

you missunderstood. SETTINGS on you mobile not on the pc and than when you do all the things that i wrote below than go to my computer and there you will see icon of usb drive and touch screen is activated when not in audio player (external lcd is on,when it is off just press volumen boutton for 3-4 sec) simply by pressing any of the two volumen bouttons twice and when is activated press play twice and that will take you to the list of your songs and again pressing play will activate your audio player

Denis post wasnt helpful to me i was unable to find settings anywhere on my computer i dont have the classic view of microsoft so i couldnt find it. I only have microsoft xp but i still cant connect my phone to the computer and it so annoying. so if u know how i can connect another way

I just got this phone and cannot connect the phone to my computer to transfer music onto it. I've tried uninstalling and installing it. And i've read and re-read the instructions and even tried the net. I just can't get my computer to recognise the phone. Any ideas on how to do this?

Hey guys, ive had this phone since october, and i have many gripes about this phone.
1. Lack of Speakerphone. I think they should have incorporated it since you can listen to songs on the speaker prettyy loud, why not just add a little bit of software support for speakerphone?
2. i dont know if this is only my phone, but every time someone calls me when im already on the line with someone else, the phone automatically shuts down. VERY annoying.
3. Lack of individual ringtones. You can only assign one ringtone for everyone, you cant personalize ringtones for each individual person.
4. The speaker when youre talking to someone is not very loud, the loudest setting to me is still very hard to hear for me.
5. Text message dates and times are random and theres no way to change it.
6. Included software for contacts and what not do not work, ive used 3 differant computers.
The only thing i really like about this phone is the mp3 player, decent battery life, and the design.
Overall, i give this phone a 3.5/10

i just got this phone recently, (gsm version) and i have to say it's looking pretty good even though it has few features, but a phone is a phone, and it will always be a phone regardless if it has a 10 megapixel camera or high-quality mp3 player.
anyway i've heard that one is able to read text messages on the external lcd, and i've seen it done on my friend's phone once(verizon version) when the phone receives a text you just push the play button the outside of the phone and it automatically opens the text message, you can scroll up and down with the volume buttons. ok well anyway i tried this with my phone and it doesn't work, it just opens up the mp3 player. anyone know if it is possible to read text messages with the gsm version of this phone??

ok if you are having trouble using the touch buttons .......just go tothe mp3 player then shut the phone....it keeps plaing press in the middle of the volume buttons on the side and hold while pressing the buttons on the front.....big thank you to me........reffer to denises comment to upload songs.

when i install the software to connect it to my computer it just wont work any ideas at all there, i have installed it and uninstalled it, just wont connect and has time out etc, its a real hassle

omg i love this phone its by far the best looking at the moment and it has awsom features !! could do with a flash for the camera more theme colours better message tones and a little easier to down load songs onto !! but over all its great i havnt had any trouble with it yet and ive had it for 4 months !! im a big fan of the LG phones and i would buy another one of these f something was to happen to mine !!

Hey everyone!! i have had my KG 810 phone since october n i absolutely LOVED it!!! but My phone completely snapped in half about 2 days ago cuz it got stuck in a recliner chair and i was SOOOO bummed. I tried lookin at buyin a different phone but i just couldnt do it. But like all of you i had difficulty using the USB n downloading MP3s. I still to this day only had ONE song on it that i received from a friends phone by bluetooth. anyways, Im really interested in getting this phone again, if someone has a solution to how i can get songs downloaded to it, I will be MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP ANYONE TROUBLE SHOOT ANYTHING ELSE. (SINCE I HAVE HAD THE PHONE FOR SO LONG I KNOW ALL THE TRICKS AND STUFF.) so OVERALL its a great phone.. very sexy slim, but the software i think should be upgraded somehow so its easier for people to download music.

hey everyone. Iv had the phone for nearly a week and i wouldnt buy it. Its missing sooo many little features like personize message alert and volume adjusted, speaker phone. Its hard to work out the mp3 down load. The battery life is a day and a bit with one or two quick phone calls. But it looks great and its light but thats it. Not happy.

hey just got this phone- so far am loving it - but the user bookelet doenst seem to explain much - like how do i set caller id pictures? and also i found out how to activate the touch sensitive keys ont eh front - but after a while they turn off and i cant activate them again... please help

Denis, thanks for explaining how to use the phone as a usb. Every other method left me at a dead end. The phone clearly works w/o playing mp3s and stuff, but there's no point in having the features if they aren't utilized. Thanks again
