Ohh, and, I'm not sure about the KM555e posted here, but my KM555 (may or may not be the same unit) does have WIFI.

To be honest, I'm not even sure I have the same unit. I got the LG KM555 here in Macau, and I read somewhere that the KM555 is the KM555e in some places.
That aside, people were telling me (and I discovered for myself) some of the shortcomings of the KM555. The unit that I got has no 3G, and thus no internal camera, no 3D Interface like the Arena, sort of makes me feel that it has a small internal memory (40MB), and the camera is only 3 megapixels and no autofocus.
That said, I really like this phone. I don't make 3G calls (1. My local network doesn't support it, and 2. I am old fashioned in the sense that I see phone calls as phone calls, and face to face conversations as face to face conversations, if you get my meaning). The only use I would personally have for an internal camera is for taking portraits (I'm vain, but not that vain). I keep songs and other stuff on the external memory card (I have 2GB card from my old phone, and the space is just about right), so the small internal memory doesn't bother me. I also have a point and shoot digicam, so I don't really need a camera on my cellphone either except for emergencies.
Aside from the "shortcomings" that I don't really care about, one thing I really like is that it doesn't bog down on me, like I expected from a mid-range touch screen. A friend of mine has the KM900 Arena (which he got a month before I got my LG), and he wishes he waited for the KM555. We swapped phones for the afternoon, and I must say, his Arena is so darned slow, and bogs down quite a bit. I'm not saying the KM555 is lightning fast, not "OMG my finger was like 2mm from the screen and it already responded!!!" fast or anything, but it does respond like a normal button phone, which is good enough for me. But then, I don't require that much as well, so, go figure.

I have this phone and the mic is weak and intermintantly goes on and off. I call people and they can't here me. I hate "prank" calling my friends, dentists, school ect.
I also have a problem with the mic being weak even when it works.

aggg I don't like my phone!

Personal preferences aside, Nokia have a far better record than LG for reliability (as Far as I am Aware anyway). And the Symbian OS platform is a smartphone platform. That said, Aesthetically I think it is...middling. And the interface isnt quite as smooth as other touch screen systems. Its just what you prefer. I have had 3 LG touch screen phones recently all went wrong within a week or two. There is no way I am buying another. Samsung for touch, Nokia/SE for everything else.

In the budget market that is.

Time to start a debate! well, think u are wrong there Will. I personly don't like nokia and where I come from it's either Samsung, lg, or sony ericsson, that u choose between. First of all I do not like the interface of nokia devices, second I don't like the thickness (which is around 15m). Third reason, I don't like the degines either..

Its clearly an improvement of Cookie, probably to fight 5530 and (probably more) Star. It cant stand against 5530 but it can give a great problem to Star...

I'm afraid the hanset u posted out has qwerty keyboard, 2 megapixels, no wifi and is also a lot thicker than this device. If u read the specs u'll see the difference.
