I've bought this device 2 weeks ago and I feel good enough, except with my experience of the software. The active sync does not work properly even after I seek the problem solver form the windows mobile site. The problem was solved until re-installed the software to the LG service center and of course I loss my internal data, such as contact, sms, and email message.

The second problem was the device with no reasonable reason goes to blank out after in the sleep mode. To solved the problem, I must removed the battery and place it again to the device, I faced this problem twice, before and after re-installed the software.

Does anyone face the same problem with me and how to solved this problem?

A : cook the ROM means that you have to change the embedded ROM to a new one. this steps will make your hand set will become a piece of brick(garbage/papper weight) if you fail. so do it at your own risk.

A : i will answer this Q n not for this type only but for other type too.
what u need to set MMS,GPRS n 3G:
it's provider depended so for different provider than different value set.
but globally you need to know: apn(access point name,username,password,ip address,port number) for MMS you need to know the url for homepage your provider and port number.
for LG KS20 GPRS n 3G:
start-setting-connection-add new modem connection
give the name what you want - select modem (choose cellulaer line GPRS,3G,HSDPA)-next-fill the apn according to your service provider-fill the username and password.if your provider must set the ip address than choose "advance" than fill the ip address. finish
for MMS:
messanging-menu-mms-mms setting-new- fill the title according to your taste - fill mms url - fill port number and point the access point to your gprs setting name.

A : As far as my knoledge, to change the languange you must cook the ROM to change the languange.

Correcting my previous post:

A : use 3rd application, standard keyboard doesn't support capslock.

following the "seon" post, yes standard keyboard support capslock, you only need tap the "shift" key twice. Thank you "seon" for answering. ^__-

A : If you already set the email account on the messanging than it is very simple to attach file, just go to messaging, choose your email account, menu - new, on the new message - choose menu - insert-choose what you wanna attach (picture,voice note or file). For opening the attachment, you should download the file first than you can view it.
Anyway, do you know what is the meaning of smartphone?who's doesn't smart???whatever your product that you use,if you doesn't know how to use it,that it just a waste.

so far i don't know how to fix in media player, i rarely use it. use other software, there's tons out there that stable,only need small resources and free of course. ;)

A : are you installing untrusted apps?this problem occurs because usually u install unstable apps.try to remove them or hard reset your phone.. for how to do that: see my previous post. please search the posting first.. i'm sure u'll find d answer.

I am unhappy with the performance of my newly bought KS20. it cannot save content of current web page(html). there is no save option in the menu. i cannot even open a pdf file or an e-mail attatchment. i cannot attatch a file say, a picture, into an email message. then what is the use of that smartphone. i don't know whether it supports any other browser which can save, open html and pdf files and support email attachments(attach a file as well as open an attached file)if anybody is aware of the software which solves this problem please help

I try the phone.

overall is a good phone but extremely bad battery life. This is because i had used to to connect to fring using wifi. When the phone goes into standby i can't use the wifi as wifi connect will drop. On I can only off the backlight.

KS20 also had problem with VOIP
fring n skype the connection are chopping

A : no..winmo already istalled handwriting recog for typing msg, they are : keyboard(usual keyboard), letter recognizer, block recognizer and transcriber. i think that's enough for handwriting recognizer(letter recognizer, block recognizer and transcriber).

Q : is it ok to charge the battery even if its not yet low bat? Does the battery's life reduce if i drain the battery?
A : for KS20, it's okay. if you use ni-cd or ni-mh battery than you have a problem, because that type of battery will create a dummy voltage that will take up space on your battery capacity and reduce the size capacity. li-ion and polymer are much more stand to charging even when it's not low yet.

A : i think they are some people are trying to "cook" the OS to install the driver. try to googling an inet.. :D

A : Maybe Holux M-1000 + garmin with bluetooth connection. i'm not a gps user. only use googlemaps.. :p

i bought my phone few months ago and its working good, it says that you can create sms using your own handwritting instead of the TAP UP KEYBOARD,, do you actually need a software for the handwritting recognition for sending sms? what sort of application is that.. please help me...
