@Ranev, you're obviously confused. Go look at the s60 website and peek your bag of S60 games 320x240 or 240x320. Actually in a modern s60 v9.1 device (or later) is meaningless which way the screen is turned. Have you ever heard about 'rotateme'? This device will be the cheapest S60 full keyboard (and a big one at that) on the market :)

ilike that phone cheap on price and a qwerty key pad .but the problem is at current there is not a single mobile game that supports 320 x 240 res yes i am not talking about (240 x 320) i am talking about 320 x 240

This is close to what I have been waiting for. (The only extra things i want are a bigger display (240x480 or 320x640 2.6" or 2.8" wide screen) and a T9-like smart dialer on the external keypad.

Anyway, when is it coming out? anyone knows for sure?

Is this handset S60 compatible? If yes that may explain the fairly high ratings, otherwise - not much in it :-(

but no, they make it look good then put rubbish on it.

The thing is,a huge screen needs lots of power to lite up and 'service'. Look at all this fancy Nokia's,Samsungs ans Sonyericsson's - they barely last a day on a charge. I ain't going to browse the web or watch Star Wars on it. It will be OK the check urgently a important email and to give a NO/Yes answer. It will be perfect for me.

Can't really understand why the screen is so small... there is so much room there to increate the screen size. Appart from that i like it!

This phone will be the cheapest s60 by far and will have a 'full qverty' keyboard ! No other 'kiddies' functions. Just right for me. Now I can sms customers without having to use a 8 button keyboard and have the advantage of s60 (lots of programs to chose from - some free)

this phone looks cheap and nasty, like an old calculator. i hope they dont over price it because it will never sell! if you click and enlarge the picture you will see what i mean.

Any news on the release date? Hope LG doesn't overprice. I'll have to wait and see if all my symbian apps work properly on both screens.
Guess LG is aiming at Txt & email addicts with this model.

                                        Way to go LG.
I've been waiting for a device like this for years (only thing better would be an updated Nokia E70 sized closer to the 6822). What I need is a Nokia 6120 w/slightly larger screen & QWERTY keyboard to enter calendar/contact info, but don't need the rest of the fancy stuff like the E90. People complaining about that are missing the point: The KT610 is smaller in all three dimenstions, enough to be pocketable unlike the E90, and smaller display, no WiFi and no fancy camera means it'll have good battery life & can be reasonably priced. I have no use for a >$500 mobile device anyway, as it means I'll be too afraid of it getting lost or stolen.

They also did right by having a separate numeric row which doesn't require a modifier key, and the small external display is just right for looking up a contact to call or viewing the next appointment.

What remains to be seen is how smooth the internal/external mode switchover is (I notice the external keypad doesn't have S60 Menu or Edit keys), and whether LG delivers a stable S60 implementation, whether the 3d-party S60 apps will work properly (internal display is landscape only) etc.

I think this has the potential to be an excellent seller.
