i was just wondering if anyone knows how to set the setting for the LG U970 on the 3G where when you get a sms its displays it like the miss call does.. thanks

If u want to raise the volume of the ring tone just edit your current profile( normal, outdoor, ect). There's an option as to how high u wish the volume to be, however if u have done this and still find the volume low just change your ring tone.

Yes it can use mp3 for text and ringtones.
And no it looks just fine in direct sunlight, people who write that u cant see the sreen in direct sunlight dont own the phone oviously.

i find that this lg phone is crap just like the other lg phones i am finding problems with the softwear swithing off and freezing DO NOT GET THIS PHONE

I absolutely love my SHINE!! It has everything i need. A stylish look, great camera, loud ringing, great display and enough memory!
I have NO problems with my phone! My battery life is great. Im a real heavy user and i get close to a week out of my battery!

Hey, Ive just recently bought this phone. So far i think its great.. however the pc sync/phone manager software that was supplied with the phone is not compatible with windows vista. This poses a small problem. Anyone else had this problem or any idea how to get around it. Are there any 3rd party programs I could use. The USB driver appears to install just fine, its just the software that isn't compatible
