Yes, I got the same problem. I didn't do anything to my phone, and the screen cracked. I've only had the phone for 3 months, and they want me to pay over $300 to replace it. That is just insane. They keep saying it is physical damage and not a defect, so though luck for me. I am really angry about this.

Just wondering if anyone has had problems with their screen of their LGKU970? I've had mine about 5 months and out of hte blue, the screen has got black lines all over it. The store I bought it from say it is not a manufacturing problem and has been 'damaged', but i know that this is not the case. Any info would be appreciated :)

I have all the software on my computer for this phone but can't figure out how to put music from the computer onto my phone, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been using few months now. All features excellent. Only 2 cons. Sound is not loud enough. Battery life is not long enough. I dont have other problems like other peoples here have. Everything is working fine. Text msg is fine. Bluetooth, 3G modem, Video call etc etc are all working perfectly.

the difference between this and the ke model is in australia you can be with the "3" network and it works fine with this ku model, but cant with the ke model. also the ke model has a micro memory card slot and the ku doesn't. i also agree that it does not provide a shortcut to the inbox to read the msg recieved is crappy. other then that good phone

I've recently bought this phone but something about it really bugs me and I can't seem to find my solution even in the manual.
When I receive an sms, my phone is usually in its 'closed' position, it show up in the form of an envelope and in order to read it, you must go into your Inbox and read it from there. It doesn't actually show a box that reads, "New Message. Open now?" like it does with other mobile phones and you can read it straight away.
However, just then I got an sms whilst my phone was in its 'open' position and I could read my message straight away by clicking on the 'yes' option for reading it now.
Does that mean my phone needs to be UNLOCKED in the 'closed' position in order to do this?
Does anyone else have this problem?

hi everyone...can anyone tell me: does this phone have animations ie. animated icons to put into ur text messages? i have only ben able to find basic symbols..pathetic really...the kg 800 chocolate has animated icons so why doesnt the shine? phone looks great and has enough memory on the upside...

Ive had problems with text messages failing going straight to outbox and staying there it usually happens when you hit reply. My screen also cracked when the phone vibrated on the table. Other then that its a fantastic phone!

This phone is great, i've had it nearly a year. The screen is still in pretty good condition and everything, considering i just throw it in my handbag with keys and everything. one thing that i find happens alot is when u receive a txt message n go to reply it goes back into main screen and i cant reply. it sometimes fixes when i turn my phone off and back on. otherwise sometimes i have to just wait it out. does anyone else have this problem?

the battery life on this phone is SHIIIIIIIITTTT, and the ringing volume is very soft, on the upside the camera is fantastic.

Hey everyone ive had this phone for over a year now and at first it was great and fast but ova the time ive had it, its got a few scratches on the screen and yes it i s very hard to see the screen when the suns shinning. Also i still havent been able to use the modem on it so if you know hw pleeeeasee let me know. Howeva this phone takes great pikz and has alot of memory ive also dropped mine on the ground alot and its still in perfect condition. it has also been dropped in our pool thanks to my nephew and i gave it time to dry out and its perfect...

Love the metal finishing on this Shine, great sleek style, I was really wanting this until I looked closer at Owners Opinions. { Complaints included: Metal scratching, not being able to see the screen in the sunlight, very soft ring volume, and the mirrored screen scratching easily.} Also, some people said it was a Guy-ish phone, which I don't see, I can see a girl carrying this around, Especially since it has a mirror on it =)

The differences between this Handy and the KE version isn´t very much it is just that this one has UMTS built in and you can phone on video telephony you have the front kamera and the back kamera an otherwise there is no great difference between this one an the KE version

I wanna buy this phone but I don't now is this a good phone.To me this is almoust the same phone as LG KE970.So can anyone please tell me diferences betwen these two models....

its great, no problems 4 me, d metal body is great and makes ur other plastic phones feel cheap. Sexy and well designed, d camera is also very very impressive- d german manufacturer knows his thing. I think people who complain mix it up with the other version. Buy it if u like it or wait 4 d lighting phone( kf 510).

This is by far the worst phone I have ever bought. Ive had it for 3 months and it's already been sent away for repairs. Do not buy!!

Fantastic phone! However my screen cracked when it vibrated. Same thing happened to another person also.
