L1100 is ok,but i do feel theres a lot of features missing.For instance, the 1Mb shared memory is way too little and you can never store much in the phone because it will always say that there is no space so the only thing left to dois delete some things you've already stored inorder to store the new! Also, the phonebook photo feature was such a problem at first because i had no idea how to make an id photo..i had to compare another friends LG phone,different model,to find out! The manual is just not efficient.Another thing is that i still cannot install the "infra red modem",and so it's called in the manual, inorder for my IrD feature to work..therefore i cannot send or receive anything via infra red even if there is such a feature in the phone.The data cable for the L1100 poses another big problem...i have a laptop and no pc and the cable cannot fit the LT,which means i have to look for parts to connect to the LT.However, its imposible for me to find some parts like that because nowdays,well at least in the country that i live in,USB is in and serial is out..if someone knows how to activate the IrD feature pliz tell me!!

Worst phone ever! I purchased through AT&T Wireless in June of '04. Problem is, calls go through about half the time...the other half go straight to voice mail- very frustrating. Now with Cingular, and even with "five bars" showing a strong signal, still goes to voice mail. Found others who own the same phone and they had similar problem.

Hey guys i just got my phone and i have been very careful with it but it has lost a line of pixels (ABOUT 50MM) across the whole screen on the front of the phone, what can i do?

I have had my LG L1100 for about 3 months now and I am very happy with it, I can't fault it. The only thing was I didn't know how to get photos into the phonebook to put the pictures next to peoples names, after reading some of the comments I found out how to do it. Thank you.

Well, I got this phone from www.computergeeks.com for $189 plus $15 shipping i was very pleased by the customer service. I awaited its arrival with great eagerness because i purchased it to use it in Costa Rica. It finally arrived and i have two complaints. First the battery life is amazingly short, it's actually ridiculous and second when you dial a number all the colors of the rainbow appear as you punch the numbers and it makes it look incredibly gay. I have tried to get rid of the colors with no luck yet. If anybody knows how to change it i would highly appreciate it. Other than that i think it's a great phone. Hope this helps anybody...

iv'e had my LG L1100 for a few months now and it's a pretty good phone...iv'e had to have the screen replaced, thanks to this site i now know how to put phone book photo's.......

i had this phone for 3 days and i got the white screen of death, so i sent it to lg got a new phone it happend again!!!! also very small mem space!!!!!do not get this phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have found the answer to getting pictures to use against names ok here goes
go to the camera menu (6) , choose take picture (1), go to options, change
the taking pic size(1) to 48x80 size, take your picture. The go to your
names, pic edit of a particular name (2), then scroll to the end where you
have the pic icon, scroll left or right and there is your picture. Hope
this helps.

Hi just got my phone yesterday and it is fantastic - had similar problems with NO TRAINED VOICE but you need to go to Menu, Settings, Call Settings, Voice Dial and ensure it is on Manual not Automatic. Hope that helps - also got the whole CD working on my PC last night and managed to download great games, ringtones, pictures etc from the CD (all compliements of LG) as well as managing all my contact details as well as scheduler etc etc - luving this phone....

I got LG L1100 mobile yesterday. I like it. But please help me I have a great problem. Whenever I opened the flip of my mobile it always give the message that NO TRAINED VOICE. I am quite disturbed, even because of this I am having the problem to see the missed calls as opened and this message alwasy come. I will be obliged if U could help me.

I LOVE the LG L1100. Every thing works great. I've had so many comments on how great it is. Remember every fone has it faults... but i've yet to find any with this fone! Seriously, don't listen to everything her though (only the good) reviews. Memory is great and battery life is fine.

I have had this phone for a week, everything works well. I loved the design of the phone and bought it on impulse. It is a solid phone only the battery does not last long, but thats a small price to pay for such a great phone. To answer a few questions wall papers and ringtones that work for nokia phones work on this phone.

This phone is easy to use and fits well in the palm of your hand. The screen quality is better than the nokia 3660 I had and it is way smaller. The phone works well and the only gripe I have about it is that the battery life is quite poor if you are a heavy talker( Which I am).
Another plus point for this phone is that you dont have to open the phone fully to read the sms you have received. It has all the features you need combined into one easy package.

Phone looks great, and its a good weight.....but
can only hold like 12 or 13 pics max, all the ringtones suck and you cant make voice recordings ringtones either, only 1 game and its ok, my camera recently broke (atleast i dont know how to fix it), now it only sees sh!t in purple,red,pink and orange and green sometimes.....no more pictures in other words....
overall the phone gets worse the more you use it.... i get missed calls that are days old, voice messages but no missed calls, text messages that are days and once a couple months old
and the antenna is starting to come off
i'd go for something else

The alarm doesn't override the silent mode! Thats not very good is it?! I like to set my phone on silent overnight and use it as a clock - therefore I need the alarm to wake me up in the morning. :-{

I bought the phone this morning as I felt like spoiling myself. I find it basic to use, I have had serval cell phones, so here goes.
The screen and camera quality is better than the 3660 and 6610 Nokia's
The receiver is clear and the quality of the ringtones are clear as well. This phone also plays nokia realtones as well. Overall I'd give this phone a rating of 10/10.
If you are thinking of buying a phone then buy this model- its small, stylish, easy to use and has a whole host of features.

I have a question: Please urgently help me:
My L1100 does not ring any more, it is completely mute, even if I put it on ring!! I might have done something with the data cabe and set up!
I am terribly disturbed by this.

My phone came in a box with a computer disk - PC Sync, Contents Base, Internet Kit. You install it to your pc and connect fone to pc with the supplied cable, click here and there, and wahlah! photos go from phone to computer. I have since learnt how to extract it and save it a a pc folder. I havent figured out the phone/internet stuff. That is low priority for me.
