I've had this phone for a few months and found it to be an excellent buy, and as for the screen, no scratches as yet.ball in all a really good cheapish smartphone.

I'm struggling to message anyone but my boyfriend, when I go to the messages, it only shows our conversation, there's no where for me to add a different number. A friend text me and I can't even find it even though it shows I have a message still to read, VERY FRUSTRATING

are we sure this phone has corning gorilla glass? I bought one this morning (very happy with it for my particular use-case) but I don't see anything about gorilla glass anywhere (not advertised on the box) or in the manufacturer specs on the lg website

320*480. Pretty bad resolution. It cant play hd videos.

I dont have much money, my budget is 100eu max.I wanted good smartphone that I can play psp games,android games and watching hd video etc.My needs are too much for budget that I have.After looking nany smartphones in shop I am extremly lucky to get this phone.I can play psp games,high end androis games and play hd movies without problem.Ig you have same needs as me for little money this mobile is bestbuy, there are lot of shitty phone for this price.

I bought this phone a few days ago;
Keeping it short: It runs smoothly, has a nice graphics card that renders graphics neatly -tried full HD anime and emulated games- and has a satisfying battery. It is small and decent, perfect for those who do not like carrying a whole glamourous tablet in their pockets. Thankfully no annoying/creepy front camera, not too much preinstalled software, recent Android (KitKat 4.4.2, w/ Linux 3.4.0), nice and sturdy design and side buttons, Gorilla Glass, and apparently, more resistant against humidity than most phones. The best in its price range, possibly the best phone I've used.

Simon, 05 Dec 2014very good phone which would be perfect at 1GB RAM, but with... moreI got it for ~60€ at a discount, and I find the RAM to be great. 1GB would be fine, but it runs so smooth I don't have any complains. It plays full HD videos and renders *.ssa subs nicely, so I think its wise for LG to stick with 512MB. It lowers the price, and with kitkat's zRAM (thanks to Linux) there are no problems.

I have recently ordered this, and I would like to know if it supports USB OTG out-of-the-box. If not, is there any custom kernel I could use or compile with custom modules?

very good phone which would be perfect at 1GB RAM, but with its 512MB is very slow on everyday use, although i only use a very select few apps....
The camera has a lot of problems and needs alomst ideal conditions to make good pictures and there is only the one back camera.
What i really miss is the status notification led my previous phone had. So i need to actually switch on the display to see if someone mailed or texted me if the mobile is in silent mode ...
All in all this is a very good modile for around 80€ and i especially like its size and weight.
If it had 1GB of and a status led, it would be downright perfect for me :)

The phone is very cheap for its specifications.
After 1 week of intensive searching on shops, this one seemed to be the best.Ofc there were other not-very-known companies as well which provide phones with similar specifications but LG is pretty much trustable.
The 4.4.2 KitKat is very stable, even tho it has only 512mb Ram.You can play a huge variety of games.
Sadly from those 4GB memory promised, you get only 1 gb to use.]

The phone is excellent for money l pay for him.It's faster in gaming because it's having 1.2 ghz processor.If enybody like a simple fast and good gaming phone buy LG L40.

i bought this phone as a second phone,because my samsung galaxy duos2 is all the time to service.
i am ammazed with the brightnes of the lcd.i use it as gps on my bike and it is the best phone i had.
also the gps sensor gets signal in seconds!!!
the dual core cpu and the stable software makes it much better than my galaxy s2 duos!(also dualcore with more ram but worst response)
last the touch has very accurate feeling,i press the buttons i want.the only bad is the camera but only 65euros does what i bought it for
