Uni8 leaks, marks LG's return to Windows Phone

13 May, 2014

LG may have been one of the original Windows Phone partners but it quickly lost interest. The Android device maker may have had a change of heart judging by the leaked image of the LG Uni8.

It's a Windows Phone 8.1 device (easily recognizable by the transparent Live Tiles) and going by the size of the virtual keys, it will probably be a phablet-sized device. The "Uni8" name suggests a larger screen but Microsoft is yet to replace Windows RT with WP8 (though we've heard such rumors).

Anyway, little is known about the device other than it will sport LG's trademark razor-thin bezels. Given WP8's consistency in terms of specs, a Snapdragon 800 chipset and 1080p screen are a safe bet.
