ICS support in the Philippines is dead. The customer service representative from the CIC DEPARTMENT of LG Electronics Philippines told me that ...
"Thank you for choosing LG! I understand you inquire about LGP990. Regarding ICS Update, I'm sorry to inform you but ICS is not supported by the unit. It is due to hardware's limitation. ICS requires tegra3 to perform then 2X is tegra 2."
If this is really the case then the software developers at ZTE are much more competent than that of LGs because they were able to run ICS on ZTE Grand X

        please guys i would request the users of lg optimus 2x to launch a complaint for not releasing the ics update for this phone as the company officials are just not concerned for the updates of this phone and whearas its competitors are already to enjoy jelly bean upgrades

            I am planning to change my phone. I have shortlisted Optimus 2X, Xperia Ray and Xperia U. What do you suggest.
            External memory aint a problem for me. a good phone with decent battery and good performance is what I am looking for.

              Do not buy LG phones, you will not get any support or update to a newer version of Android OS.

                you can use apps as Skype to make calls or videocalls through internet connection.

                    Fix:


                    1. enable GPS


                    2. switch off phone, then switch on (reboot)


                    3. turn on mobile data


                    4. go to Google Play, search: gpstest (and install, free)


                    5. keep the GPS "on" even if you don't use it

If you need more, buy Quick Office HD on Google Play (works on the 2X). If you just need a basic (free) text editor, there are quite a few on Google Play.

                            Is there a document editor in this phone. I would like to know, because I´m getting this soon and I have problems with my Windows in my computer. So while the broblems are being solved I could write documents with this.

                                    Got Updated to 20i in india...nothing much difference in performance wise..but ICS we want... it can beat any phone..with proper software....please lg make some good software
