I have this phone since 8 months.Very descent phone.IPS display looks always gorgeous and really IPS display is an evergreen display.I m still on 2.2 froyo.The users of this phone will you please tell me about the performance of phone after 2.3 upgrade.I do not upgrade this phone because I heard that most of the google play store applications do not support for lg gingerbread.Is this true guys?Also please tell me about internet speed upgrading to gingerbread.Is there any difference.While recording 1080p I see sometimes lags.720p recording and playing video is much smoother.Camera is excellent taking nice photos.But for this to take crystall clearity photos I burst the protection cover of camera.I heard that this phone is now discontinued.Gaming is very nice experience with this phone.Supports and quickly opens and smoothly plays.Thanks for TEGRA2 CHIPSET.

and when me as a user say... thats ur madness u dont know to handle it and the ram.. and u never had a smartphone b4.. even sgs2 shows 800mb ram.. n remember only 2 fones wd ds screen size have such less width... length matters u?? do u play rugby with it ... and remember the price.. even if it costed 40$ more.. no one is there... .. to compete with it... n ram mr. u shd know a galaxy note user with less applications dan me was amazed to see my speed.... reason is u shud know how to use the specs to boost itself.... name any other fone at ds range wd 1080p wrkings... u dnt hav.... hahhh....
better learn m ready for u on fb.

Last but not least. Tegra2 lacks SIMD extensions of cortex A9 (marketed as NEON), unlike TI OMAP of sgs2 and GPU tegra2 cannot decode most 1080p video codecs. this results in NOT PLAYING MOST 1080 VIDEOS ON INTERNET.really. FRAUD.

Hey, everyone, do you REALLY own this phone before posting?
1.This phone is large without a reason. it is so large that it cannot fit in my hand. it is disturbing and uncomfortable to use with one hand.
2. Battery life is charging every evening
3. the ui doesn't have hardware acceleration and it is laggy. It is ridiculous to buy a dual core tegra phone and the scrolling or menu animations are laggy. try it before you buy and you'll see.
4. Basic stuff like alarm clock when phone is swithced off IS NOT WORKING!
5. 512 MB RAM? joke. 128MB reserved for GPU. IS IT WRITTEN IN THE SPECS ANYWHERE? NOPE! the phone starts clean with approximately 190 MB free ram and in a while ends up with 50MB. Thats where the real problems start
6. When the available ram comes to a minimum it is awfully slow. really slow. it takes 3 seconds to open the contacts list.
THIS PHONE IS A JOKE.
go for anything else and probably away from androids. every other os is faster with less specs.

Its a great phone with awesome features, the only lack is that LG upgrades the phone too late but its also one of the great phones with 512MB Ram. I personally own 2x & I have not received any issues with Random reboot, Its one of the great phones & with a superb Headphones the sound quality is fabulous

Touch wood, my phone runs very stably on stock ROM and have yet to experience any auto restart! Due to low amount of RAM, it can be slightly slow at times though.

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2012how is the sound quality of 2x in loudespeaker and headphon... moresound quality is better than sgs II (i tried both) also sgs II wont be heard of when on a table, because of its placement, compared to most phones its above the average definately...

The hardware is unstable, and even with custom rom's it still randomly reboots itself, has poor battery life and the touchscreen is not as sensitive as other options.
Buy the Samsung Galaxy S2 or Nexus.
