Well i agree with what ab said. Maybe if you could get some hands on time with both phones it might help you decide better.
As for your contacts just do as ab says or maybe you could save all your contacts into a folder in your pc and then transfer that folder over to the optimus 2X.

and not to confuse u but still think about what exactly u want coz SGS-II is really nice phone too.
honestly speaking,i am not big fan of LG but,this device is really amazing...i choose O2X over SGS-II majorly coz of 'NIDIA tegra-2' !!!
ri8 now everybody is goin gaga over SGS-II or HTC sensation regarding the benchmarks and all...but everyone seems to forget that tegra-2 hasnt even been at its potential !!! coz both tegra-2 phones moto Atrix and LG O2X are still on 2.2.2 !!!
if u notice tegra-2 sportin tabl8s are alrdy on top !!! so just give it thaught and make the ri8 decision...cheers :)

Am using this phone LG Optimus 2X, battery life is really worst, it drains off very rapidly.
Apart from that all the applications in the phone are awesome, really really good.

I bought the new Optimus 2x from sangeetha bangalore next day realised that navigation is not working and also some issue with screen password lock and battery gets discrged in 6 hours, sangeetha folks did not help getting this sorted with LG bangalore

AnonD-12135, 27 Jun 2011I went to buy the Samsung Galaxy s2 today and the shop guy ... morein some areas SGS-II is better(that doesnt mean O2X is bad) like-
-more ram.
-screen size and ovrall screen tech.
-latest android version(doesnt matter much)
-processors can be overclocked so really doesnt matter if O2X is 1ghz and SGS-II is 1.2ghz.
i'll tell u my personal reasons why i went ahead with O2X.
-u can save some serious bucks and u get the almost same features as SGS-II.
-between exynos and tegra 2 in my opinion tegra 2 is better.
-ergonomically i feel O2X is much better to handle than bit awkwardly sized SGS-II(no offence,just my opinion)
-if u see few comparisons regarding processin power u can clearly see O2X is giving most of the dual cores run for their money inspite of being on 2.2.2 android version !!! so u can imagine when O2X will get GB what it'll do ;) !!!
-feel of the O2X in ur hand is much better than of SGS-II's(personal opinion).i dnt like very light phones made of quality plastic.overall build quality of the O2X is much more better than SGS-II.
-if u are worried about camera than i would say both cameras are good.if u are more concern about the frame rate O2X is offerin then,let me tell u there are few camera mods available from XDA devs so u can easily tweak it to 30fps(same as SGS-II).i am using one myself and its amazing !!!
about battery life no matter what u do one thing u have to accept that androids battery life sucks no matter its from which brand !!! so be ready to cope with the battery hunger of the android,wether u buy O2X or SGS-II.

I went to buy the Samsung Galaxy s2 today and the shop guy said that it is very fragile and that scared me considering the fact that i'm kind of a butterfinger. He then suggested me this phone and i wanna read the reviews before investing. Any suggestions please. Is this phone better than the S2??

I heard that in June-July we can get the Android 2.3 upgrade for Optimus 2x...
Its almost end of June..
So Can anyone confirm whether we can get the upgrade in July or it will take some more time???

i am the user of 3 most great phones nokia e7,apple4 ,nd lg optimus 2x its a great phone but lags a bit i have just use it for 3 monts and i selled it and just got sgs2 its a great phone but i lags dut to too much of apps battery life is good too ...................just suggestion

LG Optimus 2x doesn't work in the US yet. I can only use it to call, but not the 3G network.

I posted on my contrie‘s lg youtube channel my demand for faster updates.Huawei is working on icecream and anounces it‘s name,the android 4 and this Guinness powerfull phone still has one year old os!Also you can complain on their main lg service site on your country...

Buddy I am personnally using worlds two best phones which are samsung galaxy s2 and lg optimus 2x, bt my personal experience is better on lg optimus 2x. You can ask me why. And my answer will be lg has got better processor than samsung which is nvdia tegra2. and the best thing in lg u'll get better gaming exeperience and actual picture quality than samsung galaxy s2. samsung has got artificial color resolution on galaxy s2.so bye lg.
