LG Optimus 2X goes on sale, can be yours for $800

16 March, 2011

LG Optimus 2X shipments have just started without any fanfare. A few online retailers are already offering the smartphone so you now have your chance to experience the power of the Tegra 2. Unfortunately the asking price goes as high as $800, which is quite steep even considering the hardware inside.

Strange enough, considering their usual pratices, LG didn't issue a press release, but the Optimus 2X is already available to order at several online retailers. You can get it in USA from here or here for $800. It's a small fortune indeed, but it's also your chance of becoming one of the first users of a dual-core-packing smartphone.

Now if you aren't into paying the early adoption fee you will probably need to wait just a few weeks to get a better deal. Amazon.de has already listed the handset for €480 (availability in one to three weeks), while plenty of carriers have confirmed that they will be offering the Optimus 2X.

Those of you that haven't made up their minds about the LG latest flagship yet are welcome to check out our review.

Wow! Great thinking man! Did you come up with that conclusion yourself?! Did you even ask yourself if you can put your $800 laptop in your pocket? These are two totally different devices for totally different purposes. And yes, I agree with you...
