I have this phone since november 2012 and it still work as it is new. Only difference is that the power button needs a tiny bit stronger push compared to when it was new but aside from that nothing changed. Great phone for ppl who are focused on call, classing messaging, mail checking, new apps like viber, instagram, whatsapp and othes work just fine its just that low ram memory get full easily and after closing such apps u need to wait 3-4 seconds for phone to really close them and that can be annoying. Anyway great phone for the money u pay for it.

i have this phone on ICS now ^ ^ still working like a monster cuz of this phone i have now LG G Pro it's a real monster beast omg both working goood i love this phone i didn't have a problem with it

I have been rockin this beby from 21st 2015 feb.i was given as agift.truly it has a gorilla glass when it fell u culd actually feel the safety measure used to make it.
Almost six months and the phone is excellent,he he life's good LG

Been using this phone for more than three years and it served me well despite that it was hundred times fell on the floor. It's just that i am encountering problems with the messaging application by now. It automatically send messages though i'm not yet done typing or automatically erases what I have typed. Now, i'm looking for a new phone and does anyone here can advise me which phone should i buy with great features and as durable as this? Thanks in advance

my comments. about. my phone. is LG p970 it is the best mobile. etire. world b/c. the. screen. the best. but how. do I know about. its. originalTy. and the. internal. memory. is1gb. only.

Hi, my LG optimus Black is currently running android 2.3.4. when i connect it to my computer and run the software update, it says your phone already has the latest update from lG. I have tried to update the phone on other computers but the same result why is it so??Help

my lg optimus black phone users P970 , there is a problem with the battery too quickly lowbat but I want to replace , but the seller told me the battery lg this type no longer manufactured .
while I pity with this type of phone lg .

I hate those people that are posting things like "it freezes" or "bla bla doesn't work"
1st of all you must realize that is 3yo and probably cant run the most recent apps at this moment. Don't be a noob ;)
Oh and 2nd of all try to learn how a phone should be used

i have this for 2 years! and now my touch screen is cant never used! but i dint regret to buy this lgp970
this is good quality phone so far i know! so i am willing to buy another lg phone like this.. this is not about the quality of phone this is about how u used i used this for 2 years bcoz my kiddos touch this everyday they throw it!!

I have been using this phone for the past two years. Never rooted it. Installed the official ICS update and enjoyed it a lot.
BUT, now this phone sucks. There is a major charging problem, "Slow Charging" followed by the phone hanging every 5-10 mins.
I have sent it to the service center thrice. Got my motherboard, charging slot and software restored but it doesn't help. This phone is a NEVER BUY.
