The display is not good . The camera clarity is poor. processing is slow .

My L3 lasted almost 15 days on stand-by (minimum talk time, everything disabled, including 3G). Excellent price/performance phone.
GOOD:
Battery!!!
Video and audio recording (considering the specs).
Very good photos when lighting is good (daytime). Decent quality loudspeaker, max volume OK.
Good overall processing speed.
BAD:
Very poor low light (night) photos - no flash too.
Fairly low amount of memory for programs, and some preinstalled programs that are not removable.

Justin, 18 Sep 2012I just want to know whether this phone will press buttons w... moreHi Justin....to answer your question, i just played around with the phone`s sensors and even deliberately tried to mess with the screen but nothing happens.The sensors on the LG E400 are extremely sensitive and work even when i place the phone a Lil distant from the ears.So i don't think you will have a problem with this phone.Plus...the hold button located on the upper left plus its so tiny hence limiting the possibility of engaging it....looks like someone knew bout that problem when designing this phone.

Excellent performance, if you compared to the other phones in this range but you can't expect a better clarity of picture and sound. This will be a disappointment for the music lovers and could have improved a little bit on that.Other wise it is a perfect in style and performance. thank you for LG

Justin, I was wrong, it does have a proximity sensor (I can't see where they hid it, though), so that's why. You can't press buttons while talking.

I bought this phone after checking it out on gsmarena.com.
Justin, the phone will not let you press the touchscreen while talking. I don't think it has a proximity sensor, but the gyroscope/accelerometer checks when you hold the phone upright and turns off the screen.
If you lift the phone away from your face (for example to push the tone buttons, or end the call), the screen turns itself on again in less than half a second.
The device itself also appears fast, battery life is very good, and it recharges very quickly even from USB. The resolution is a pain point though, it's very low, but it turns out it's usually not a big problem when using most games/applications.

I just want to know whether this phone will press buttons while I am on the ph? I currently use the Samsung galaxy Ace and blackberry torch. When I am on a call, despite the sensors, I still somehow manage to press buttons during my call. Usually mute people or put them on hold. Does this ph have this problem too>

Been using this phone for a month..excellent touch interface,fast response and great resolution , bright screen compensates for and eliminates fingerprint smudges.Battery life is superb...upto a whole day of average use is reasonable. Low system memory compensated for by tha 1gb internal memory plus you can install apps to memory card.
Music player is of noble quality with excellent stereo separation via the LG stock earphones which are relatively loud.
Camera: Poor quality thats a thumbs down on this one...pale and offcolour thinking of upgrading to 10f see if its a software bug.
WiFi takes ages to go green but havent played around with it long enough to confidently crack it.
Gps runs smoothly
All in all great bargain for a budget smart phone!
