AC.Chris, 25 Feb 2023I still have this LG E610, I actually still use it for some... moreI never liked LG but concerning the Optimus l5, I used that phone for 4 full years and the battery didn't die on me but the thing is, it was a 3g phone and therefore 3g was known to consume less battery than 4g which contributed to the battery longevity. Even on my old galaxy j7, I set the network on 3g and not 4g and it's unbelievable how long the phone could last on a single charge and on a 3000 mAh removable battery.
The Optimus l5 I had withstood the test of time and it's snapdragon chipset wasn't the fastest but it wasn't going hard on the small battery, camera is crap and look like a feature phone, speaker isn't that great but the micro USB port was bulletproof. This phone was one of a kind and sure enough, there won't be phones like that again 😥😢

I still have this LG E610, I actually still use it for some things. Well... nostalgic purposes. I really like the phone and I really like the feel and the UI. Even though it may be running Android Jelly Bean, it still works alright, and most apps can be downloaded and installed.
The only downside is that the back speaker does NOT sound the best. It sounds kinda tinny, if that's a word (well basically a phone inside a tin). It also does not connect to Windows when I try, I don't know why. Maybe that could be a hardware fault or whatever cable I'm using? I don't know, but the phone is still good to take photos and videos, especially the ones in daytime, night photos aren't as great as you think. I like the idea/direction LG was going in. Another downside, the screen is SUPER scratchable especially with no screen protector.
However, the battery is outstanding after all these years. It still recieves a charge somehow, and it even still works well. I thought it would lag severely, but nope! It actually runs quite well, especially with my old versions of apps installed on it. But really, there could be better phone alternatives instead of using an LG Optimus L5.

The best products LG ever made before LG killed the optimus line to replace it by the crappy K line. Battery life was decent too, overall, if only USB was standard in 2012, I wouldn't feel the need to upgrade to newer devices.

Otherwise ok, used this through junior high. The RAM was too small though. It would get soo damn slow. Eventually just used it to throw it around.

I use it now as a temporary replacement after my primary phone gone dead, until buying a new one. One flaw: it doesn't have an NFC antenna, although described as having it in specifications in this site as well as in LG's formal model page!

Great memories associated with this phone. My first smart phone way back when. Sold it off two years ago for dirt cheap, but now I feel I should have kept it, just for romming/rooting. Brilliant phone for its time, but the 512 RAM killed it, especially given ICS's bad RAM management. Was quite a looker (looks fresh even now). If you still use this phone, kudos to you.

This was a good smart phone a few years back. It still does. Compared to those days it may be slow or laggy with new apps. Btw 4-5 years older.

This phone is ok. It does everything a basic phone needs to do. However for a smart phone, it's os very poor, camera is bad, there is little to no space and for some reason SMS just suddenly stops working. It can't run vigorous apps like a smart phone is supposed to.

The LG Optimus L5 is slow, laggy, annoying,it has bad camera quality, little space,no emojis, weird keyboard, and most importantly it doesnt give you the latest versions of apps. Please dont end up like me.

This is the most strong and lasting smartphone I have ever used, I'm still using this phone for over 3-4years now, have never taken it to any technician until now that it developed charging point issue. The disgusting aspect of it is its slowness, it's very annoying. it's said to have 4GB internal storage but it's actually 2.(mine is 2GB but written 4gb in the manual)

Probably one of the worst and slowest smartphones out there. Whenever I looked at it, I felt sorry and stupid for buying it (I have sold it already). Why did I buy it? Well, I bought it for my wife as her iPhone was taking too long at the technician. Listen, there is nothing good about this phone. If you are reading this and you are thinking of perhaps buying it, JUST DONT. There are way better phones you can get at the same price. It is extremely slow - be it making or receiving a call, surfing or opening apps... it's just useless.

I've been using this phone since my 1st year in college, now i'm in my 5th year and i'm still using it. Its more than 4 years now and i gotta say, its not the best phone, but not the worst either... there are certanly times that i get so frustrated about this phone coz its so slow,, but still it gets the job done. This phone definitely give me more benefits than stress. I may be changing my phone when time comes, but my LG L5 will definitely have a special place in my heart...
By the way, i'm only using my L5 for sms, calls, google searches and COC for the past few months now, coz other apps are way too heavy for it..
Yeah, what do i expect.
But still,, super satisfied...

I have been using this phone for 4 and a half years and it is still going strong. If you guys are frustrated of its performance, then buying a new phone would be the most logical choice. There is an alternative, though not recommended, would be to use custom roms.
My phone is running KK 4.4.4 with no problems (currently downloading a Marshmallow custom rom, woohoo!) and phone use (SMS, calls only) can last 10 days or more. And it is a really awesome music player.
It may be a low-tier phone but it is definitely reliable and will probably take some time for it to kick the bucket.
