Hi sir.. i tried to put my 8 GB memory card in this phone. but its showing the message that its not mounted..!!
what cud be the reason for this?? do u knw any fix??

if you are not able to find the silicone cover,Im afraid to say, you must be living in some rural region. You can find it any Mobile/spice store. Ask for AMZER cover,priced Rs.200. but you will find it really worth the money. It will protect the device from accidental bumps and falls.. Use it first and then reply.

When someone tell out of real experience you should believe it. I was really bugged by the dust accumulation problem with O1.On the second day itselfi found a dust spot under the screen, and it drove me crazy. I have gone through many sites seeking help in this issue. Atlast found one guy saying using Silicone cover can prevent the issue.. I bought Amzer silicone cover(a lil expensive but good quality). Believe it or not the problem seem stopped already.Living in delhi means you r dealing with lot of dust .Just use it see the result by your own. I dont want anyone to believe it. I discovered something. So thought to share it with other user. may b they found it useful.
FOR YOUR KIND INFO: I have used almost all high end phones of all brands. NO phones are an exemption on this issue.. it will accumulate dust over the usage n time. Good Luck!!

it says it have 512mb memory but i can use only 290 mb in which 80mb i cant kill!

It could also depend on what features you are using. A cellphone will also use more battery power if the network signal is low. Internet and music playing can all affect battery life. Make sure with Lithium batteries that you don't run them right down unlike NiCad or NiMh batteries. Lithium batteries shouldn't be run right down. It's not good for them and can actually damage them.
Try charging a few more times and if no improvement you could have a faulty battery in which case go back to the dealer that sold you the phone. Batteries usually come with a 3 year warranty depending on the country of purchase. Looks like a great handset. Good luck and I hope the above helps solve your problem. :-)

hey i took lg p500 a month ago and now after charging it for 3 hours its battery gets charged and after a hour it goes to 0% whats the reason?

According to me,audio drivers are updated,touch response has been increased,more user available RAM,increase in battery life on the comprise of 3D drivers.
For your information,I am using custom ROM.

The users who are going to buy this phone should buy the november 2010 packed mobiles.They are of higher quality,therefore priced earlier at Rs.12,500/-.
After that,all mobiles uses comparatively cheap parts to lower the cost of mobile.They can be overclocked to 806 Mhz and there was no problem of dust also.

... moreAccording to LG certain series of the phone have this problem. But when checked in the market, only phones from the affected series are available. Now some people with even Feb. manufactured handsets seem to be having the problem. So, despite claims, maybe the problem has not been fixed.
The worst part is that you will know for sure only after weeks/months of buying, depending on environment. So should you take the risk?
Anyway, please mention your source for saying the problem is resolved.

and most imp battery life . now iam using it almost 3 days without charging.
now waiting foe 2.3 update :-)

may 2.3 will enhance the performance.

I do not use gingerbread as it has many bugs .I am using modified froyo rom.Internal memory can be increased through app2 sd,or dalvik cache(I think that you know about these as you know about rooting)
I use clocked CPU at 480 min;729 max;smartass
Although smartass profile saves battery and froyo haas 10-13 fps less than gingerbread.But,my score is:-
Quadrant:-1516
Neocore:-56.9fps(with no sound)

For gaming,lg has more ram and dedicated gpu.
So,go with lg o1

ah i hv rooted ma phn and using clockwork recovery but ,i found a lot, but unable to partition ma sd card and dnt knw hw to use it for internal memory....
plz help i dnt wanna uninstall ma apps n m ran out of memory..... :(
