Guys help. Should i buy this o1 or nokia C6-01. It leaves out some features like tv out, usb on the go. But its an android. The video playback is superb in nokia. All opinions are welcome. Help please. M in a great mess.

I found the push email part of it to be quite informative as I cud nt understand earlier why I was nt able to receive push email in my SE java phone. Nway am trading- in my se java phne for the optimus one this week and am hoping to enjoy the smartphone world. Prateek u must be a software eng. or smthng.

Hi every one I am on a tight budget but no regrets as Optimus one on fire ;)
Still I am confused in between the 2 phones.
Optimus one is prommising performence but Galaxy3 has a better brand name.Music is key for me as I am a music geek.
1)which one has a better sound quality.
2)Are android Apps are powerfull enough to improve music quality significantly.
3)I use EP-630 so doesent care about the inbox headphones.
4)I have 8 gb card in advance.(Is Optimus one has realy a hanging probleme with 8 GB or bigger.)
5)write your final verdict and why.

Hi Friends,
I heard yesterday in Tech Guru program that this phone is available in India at a price tag of Rs. 11200. But so far based on my knowledge, it is getting sold at Rs. 12500 change in Bangalore. Earlier there was a listing over ebay.in of Rs. 11500 but now that is not available. Could you please let me know the cheapest price you bought this phone? What’s the place/shop, if from Bangalore? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Am using the Optimus with the 8 Gb Transcend sd, no problem. the phone has a better build and better screen than galaxy 3 else nothing much different. The 60MHz in processor speed is not noticeable at all with altogether different cores. Battery performance on optimus one is similar to galaxy 3 as well. What I luv in optimus though is the music output in the headphones is awesome. DNSE is not as good with the same headphones (And i am using 1K bucks headphones :))

The wallpapers/live wallpapers that come preloaded in the optimus one are stored in the root directory. You can access them by pressing the menu button on the home screen.
Use the application 'group SMS' for sending group messages. You can find it at the market.
You can visit the android market or the site 'appbrain' where all the games and apps are listed by popularity/rating/relevance.

The GMail, Google Calendar and Contacts are truly 'push' on the Android. Setting the "Sync" is basically enabling the two-way push; otherwise you have to manually refresh your GMail or contacts or whatever. POP accounts setup in Mail are "pull." Those work off of a set interval to login and check for new messages. Maybe you have setup a 'pop' configuration for gmail by going to the manual setup under the 'email' application.
Go to Accounts and sync->create a new mail account-> Enter the e-mail address and password for the Gmail account you're setting up->Press Next->Wait for "Retrieving account information" to complete. From there on, it's just a matter of following the simple prompts.
Go to settings->accounts & sync->check 'background data' and 'auto sync' options. Clear the cache of the 'gmail' application if you are facing trouble in receiving the notifications. Make sure that the 'receive notification' is checked in the settings when you open the gmail application.
The push mail works like this:
1. Turn on Datasync on Phone.
2. Data sync alerts Gmail server that it is on, and then does no more until/unless it is turned off.
3. Gmail server records that that particular phone account is set to receive.
4. An email arrives in the Gmail account.
5. Gmail server checks the record to see if the value for Data Sync is True or False. If true it sends the email, if False, it does not.
The phone is not checking on a regular basis(unlike POP) to see if mail exists, it acts only once (when the setting is changed) to indicate to the Gmail server a value of true or false for future checks by the server for the phone's availability. With push notification, the device doesn't do anything until the server notifies it. That's better for resource utilization and battery life.

1.everytime i "forward" an sms ,a draft named anonymous is also saved with the same msg content...is anyone facing the same problem ?
2.where are the static and also live wallpapers saved ??
if i want to delete them how do i do ?
3.and also which application is the best for sending group sms to unlimited ..this phone limits to 20..
4.suggest some real good free games and apps
