i've been looking at this phone and i don't know if i should get the lg phoenix or the Samsung galaxy s captivate. any suggestions?

does rogers give you the thrive instead of the phoenix if you buy it no contract?

If you will but this phone outside the contract, you should still be able to access the internet thru wifi.

yes -wifi is an external signal, similar to radio- if you are in range of a wifi modem, you can use this phone. No data plan required. I bought it for this sole purpose-works good, I did not purchase a data plan

At first I was hesitant when I had to give back my Xperia Arc because of whatever reason. But it was good in the end. Quality is great, no need for data plan and it got Wi-Fi, great sound with high volume, live wallpaper. You won't be disapointed.
My only complaint, is that once a few day, the touch screen; although very responsive, will have some trouble responding.. but that doesn't happen much.

k so i know that there is the prepaid version of this phone- LG Thrive. but ppl r telling me that the thrive doesnt have wifi. also if u purchase the Phoenix no term from rogers, do u get the thrive or phoenix. can someone plz confirm. and answer my previous question as well. thx.
