Anonymous, 14 Jan 2024I had this phone, pretty solid, good shape, wasn't too... moreI got the same 24gb model, and yeah, it was a really good, solid and comfortable phone. It feels premium, one thing I hate is the battery, just 3000mah

Unfortunately, my own LG Q6 phone does not support VOLTE (even though it has two 4G SIM slots). Mine is the LG-M700DSK model (purchased in Australia) & unfortunately I now no longer have access to one of the phone networks that I use with the phone - since that particular service provider has within the last month switched to 4G VOLTE only.

I could get around it by changing the service provider - as most other service providers in my country will still accept 4G devices without the VOLTE. But given that I'm starting to also experience problems with some of the apps, due to the phone only having Android 8 & not able to be further upgraded - I think it's almost time to get a new phone, sadly. My LG Q6 has served me very well indeed & I'm only sorry that LG are no longer making mobile phones.

I had this phone, pretty solid, good shape, wasn't too bad (Just because I bought 4gb ram version)... It doesn't appear here but I had a 24gb model. Not mainable but you can use it as a backup or secondary phone

For starters, mine is an unlisted variant: the LG Q6 M703, or as I now call it, the Q6c. (Because it seems to be a Canadian variant)

It's very similar to the M700A that's listed here, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. In fact, everything is the same, with the exception that this one supports Wi-Fi 5 (AC) and dual-band networks (2.4 / 5.0 GHz)

So, take this as a lesson: always double-check the SoC information.

Bought it as the least expensive phone I could use with Mint Mobile.. my Samsung S7 Activ and S8 Active are network locked. LG Q6 is a nice phone and perhaps faster/more responsive than my old phones, but the Gorilla Glass isn't nearly as durable as with the S7, S8 Activs. I cracked the glass in a week or 2 unlike the Activs which I've had for years. On the bright side, the single crack doesn't spread or cause problems. Also, I prefer not to have my contacts always pop up when I start.

My LG Q6 is almost 6 yrs old now & is still going strong & I am very happy with it. I love its very compact size, compared with the newer phones - yet it lacked nothing in features compared with other phones released around the same time (including dual SIM plus separate micro SD card slot. The only thing I have had to do for it by way of maintenance, is to replace the battery in it earlier this year - as the battery was starting to run out of charge very quickly. But I consider 5 - 6 years of use for the original battery, to be very good. I have only actually dropped the phone once or twice so far (in a wallet-style case that I had purchased for it) & its performance was not affected - so it's quite a sturdy little phone. The only problem I have started to encounter recently, is that because the phone is almost 6 years old & the Operating System has only been updated as far as Android 8 - some apps in the Google Play Store are no longer designed to work with phones using Android 8. Also, one of my phone service providers has recently advised me that their network will be changing to a minimum 4G VOLTE network - so as the phone does not have VOLTE, I will no longer be able to use it with their network after 15 December this year & will need to upgrade my handset if I wish to continue using their network. I will be very sorry indeed to have to do that, as this LG Q6 phone has served me wonderfully ever since I purchased it almost 6 years ago now.

So there's a Canadian version that exists. It uses the same Snapdragon 435, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Interestingly, this model features dual-band AC wireless and can update to Android 8.1 Oreo (But it's 32-bit, meaning armeabi7 instead of aarch64. In simpler terms, this means some apps won't run unless you hunt down an older version on Chrome)
