LG Stylus 2 Plus

I bought the LG 535T (Stylus 2 Plus) because of its stylus, hoping it would be an acceptable replacement for my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which, by the way, keeps going strong. Sadly, I am disappointed in the LG because, straight from the box, I set it up. Then I found that I am unable to delete any SMS, unless I delete the entire thread! When I want to delete an SMS, I get "Delete error", without any explanation! For a phone to behave that way, straight out of the box, is totally unacceptable.

OSasmatteroffact, 16 Nov 2016With fingerprint but it came with HD (720p) resolution and ... moreThe Asus Zenfone 3 (5.2") already retails for around that price and except for the screen real estate and stylus, it doesn't really lack anything. In fact it offers a better SoC, the Snapdragon 625.
And besides, that cost cutting theory doesn't quite cuts it. The fingerprint variant costs somewhere around 8k ~ 16k. The 3GB\1080p variant costs around 20k. Theory doesn't works.
Even after accounting for the fingerprint sensor costs, other features aren't bank breaking - OTG, Dual band WiFi ac. OTG support is kernel based while the .ac standard is already supported by the chip.
Getting rid of these minor annoyances and repackaging the same body with the newer (and better) chip would make the upcoming Stylus a well rounded device by 2017 standards.

Android27, 19 Oct 2016That's because brands, cheap chinese ones, have taken over ... moreWith fingerprint but it came with HD (720p) resolution and 2GB of RAM. Ofc they did that to reduce the cost in replace of the fingerprint. If you want the FHD (1080p) and 3GB of RAM one then fingerprint is sacrificed. Ofc you wouldn't have both with such price and to have both means you need the budget for the upper midranger.

Aliii, 08 Nov 2016overall performance excellent
Bad thing is internal memo... more-No OTG
-No Fingerprint sensor
-No Gyroscope sensor
-No Dual band WiFi ac standard
-Not having standard 32GB internal memory
Really, at 20k LG should've thought about that. The Stylus 3 or Stylus 2017 should fix all of the above.

BHAVESHVAR, INDIA, 18 Oct 2016purchased on 16 octo, very good phone, i have no experience... moreThat's because brands, cheap chinese ones, have taken over the mid-range market share. To put that into perspective, the Stylus 2 Plus costs twice as much as the Redmi 3s which has the same SD430 SoC besides having a couple of extra sensors like the Gyro, Infrared and Fingerprint (ubiquitous).
It's closest competition is the recently launched Asus Zenfone 3 Laser. It has 32GB ROM and a Fingerprint sensor over the Stylus 2 Plus.
Instead of launching the Stylus 2 with outdated SD410 SoC at 15k LG should've just launched the Stylus 2 Plus at that price. At 15k-16k this would've really been a competitive device. The reason why it is more popular in USA is because under carrier contract it sells for as low as 8k to as high as 16k. With, of course, the fingerprint sensor.
By the time its price cools down, there would be better alternatives. To remain competitive LG should refresh it with a newer and more capble SoC to handle intensive tasks at Full HD resolution. Large screens need more resolution and higher resolutions need an SoC to handle that load.
The SD430 just doesn't cuts it. Stylus is keeping it afloat.
