Hi,
I have bought LG8110 mobile.Using the phone manager I am able to download images,videos& audios from the phone to PC.But after that I am not able to open it from PC.Is there any specific software required to open these files in PC.The simple .jpg image files I am not able to open with microsoft photo editor or paintbrush or IE etc.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if the lgu8110 has predictive text and id it does can you program new words? Because I've used other phones with t9 text but it's neraly useless if you have to keep switching between t9 and multitap to write a message. thanks!

i finally received my new phone an lg u8120 after 19 hours of phone calls 28 days after reporting the first fault yeah they are great customer services not!!!!!!
as for the 8120 it doesnt get as hot as the 8110 did yet!!! we will see

Hi, my partner and me both got the LG U8110. Installed the software and my partners phone worked fine but mine would not work at all. After a check on both phones connection ports I found the problem. inside the connection port above the wafer card bit there are two goldish coloured connectors, on my partners phone these were next to each other on mine the were seperated(manurfacturing fault). mine at the moment is getting a free upgrade to the u8120. Customer services from mobile advice centre responded very quickly and professionally. thanks to those involved.

Not 100% happy, as 1 of the phones was faulty, did not get all of the assessories that where offered, standard features on phone pretty good.

guess what well after being promised 3 different delivery days im still waiting for a new phone to be delivered now upto 28 days since first call was placed and 17 hours on the phone to there er so called customer services!!!!!!!!

To stop the phone crashing after you have conected it to your computer, do NOT set the confirmation tone to silent.

i got this phone a month ago. Stupid enough i could have waited for the LG U8120 but the assistant didn't tell me.
But overall it's working fine

just a further update well i eventually got promised an upgrade to an lgu8120 which i got promised on 3 occasions from 3 customer service people that it would be delivered today only to find out at 12pm today that firstly my phone had been dispatched today but then the same customer advisor said that it had been dispatched on thurs my adviceDONT BUY A 3 PHONE THE TARIFFS OK BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICES TELL U MORE BULLS**T THAN THE GOVERNMENT AND I THOUGHT THEY WERE BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the third day I've had the phone and it seems I've had the same problems as most people but I've managed to solve a few.
The problem I had with the software was the drivers not being Microsoft certified(??!!). After speaking to 3 about it and basicaly being told it's the same with most phone software so use it or don't I bit the bullet and installed. The softwares been great and I've not got the other half of my phone.
If like me you can't find a COM* it's probably the drivers not being installed. If you run 'Add Hardware' in your comps Control panel and have the disc for the phone in your drive then Windows will/should run through each driver, installing and fixing the probs but still stating that it's not approved. If your running xp it will create a rolllback point just incase.
I was told by the 3 sales staff the phone couldn't take POP3 yet the booklet states it can.
So after much hunting it turns out POP3 DOES WORK and connects using the same basic connection fields as Outlook.
Some might have found it easy but it was a nightmare for me so any one with probs can mail me because the User Guide(?!) is useless after the first few steps.
One thing I at first thought was a prob with the mail box was the fact that it deletes all mail. What's that all about??! If you do have a POP3 then all's not lost as you can choose to leave the mails on your server (should be a default yes but isn't), view the ones you need then delete them all in one go. Still a nightmare if you're expecting a specific mail or want to leave just one important one on your phone.
I've had the same user problems as most people seem to and I'm yet to try out the worrying 'msm to 3' issue but one thing I will add is now I can finaly blast my latest mp3 ringtone why is there no access to ALL sounds?!
At the end of the day, to me, the phone's great and after finaly stepping up from a Nokia 3210(!) it's like Star-Trek's come real!

once i got the hang of it, the phone is not too bad. the download feature is pretty poor as once you disconnect, all the information on the pc vanishes. the customer service is dreadful. you get the same asian man everytime you call who does not seem to know much and can not understand your problems. to be honest, so far i wish that i had stuck with orange.

I have the LG U8110 and my boyfriend has the LG U8120. We want to use the infer red to pass info between the two phones. At the moment we don't know how to do it and i can't find any information anywhere on how to do it. If anyone could tell me how to use the infer red it would be much appreciated

the lg u8110 does not give you the option to download your content. The software does not work and feel that anyone with this modle has the right to terminate there contract as i feel that 3 has missled the public and broken there terms and conditions by not supplying one of the functions they say it has. If 3 can sort this problem out i will still carry on with the contract, otherwise i will take my business elsware.
