Anonymous, 06 Nov 2021hi...i'm planing to buy one at nearly 200USD in our co... moreIf you buy one buy either the global version or korean, those two models are unlocked worldwide, dont buy US models outside US or buy them at your own risk, US variants lock bands depending on carrier so research first if you go for US model.
If you get the korean version it will come with a dual clock on the locked screen, you can delete that clock by following a tutorial on how to delete korean clock.
As far as LG statement said, Lg v50 will get OS 12 and thats it. If you want to pass OS 12 you will need to buy a lg v60.
I own my korean v50 2 year now, zero issues. It has gotten all updates and i live in south america. Currently OS 11 with a security update on oct 21. Even the Lg radio app works.
As for issues i got none, phone is a beast, with dac and high storage both in phone and with sd card. Buy neutron or USb audio pro and listen to all your flacs.
Also telegram community offers lots of themes and fonts since LG world is basically dead. So customization and fonts are available. You can even upload your own fonts.

But the 16MP ultrawide camera on V50 is quite promising as it can shoot 4k 60fps which most other makers still struggling on their flaship phone in 2021.
As long as you are not a "average consummer" which means that you will never dig into the setting manual for your whole life including the camera settings, you will find that LG's phone can do many thing that others cannot.
Bulky UI is a problem, but I think users should know how to maintenance their phone, at least kill useless backgroud apps regularly.
Updaing is a problem. Android 11 is a big bug and failure. Oneplus and Samsung and Xiaomi cannot stop their phone from scrolling lag built-in in the Android11, neither than LG. I personally decided not to update any more as I don't see any merit of doing so. I you concern about useless updates, you better leave.

How is this phone for late 2021 (over some good phones like realme narzo 30 or same like that)?

and at last will this phone get android 12 update ? (I don't mind to wait although it get an11 update when android 12 nearly released)...
Upgrading from really old OPPO A5s which i used for nearly 3 years and never get OTA update to an9...🙃

It won... moreYou made me realise, yeah LG is very bad with their software region lock, some features is locked also the signal, maybe it can be done with hidden menu, but some are not, that's why people choose samsung instead of LG, altough LG quality is decent but their region locked is not convenience, Samsung is not that strict however even using other phone series regions
Thank you for making me realise that i still have trauma with V20 and G6 region locked which pretty painful

your comment is like you were living in some place that out of signal and you didn't know what happened in that year, since 5G mostly in USA, it is normal that OEM only put 5G bands that used in USA not in global version
Even now 5G is available in some country, it is still Trial and very limited coverage

Anyone knows how can i make file manager to include folder names on search, it only search for files while using keyword search.
On android 10 it used to include folders on the keyword search.
Using for example ES explorer search just like i wanted to, android 10 used to do too. :/

It won't lock.
Initially, it didn't detect but after restarting and reinserting, it worked.
VoWIFI option is there but it is only tied to U+ network band or region/network band specific. The support can be enabled for Indian bands by rooting. I don't know how to do with V50 and I'm hesitant to experiment with this cause it is precious to me and I don't want to brick this device. But I'm very confident that VoWIFI can be enabled and it is easy cause I have LG V30 and we could enable that by tweaking some system files(after root). Same with VoLTE.
But, just for your information, I tested the sound quality with VoWIFI enabled pixel and it sounded same at the other end when compared with V50. Sound is HD.
