Anon, 03 Jun 2021I think the telephoto cam is for recording in good lighting... moreYou are right i did test it out yesterday

It really is hard to believe this is THE ONLY phone that you can have if you deeply value front ultrawide camera, headphone jack, OIS, and FM Radio. Sure that there is also the V40, but it was running on SD 845 chipset and it starts to show its age now. Also, the V40 have a smaller battery and doesn't have DualScreen support. So really, this is THE ONLY true monster sleeper to have. With LG now out of smartphone business and the top brands no longer interested in giving a front ultrawide camera alongside slowly removing both headphone jack and microSD card support, there won't be anything like this anymore.

Anon, 03 Jun 2021I think the telephoto cam is for recording in good lighting... moreThe camera actually switches from telephoto to digital zoom from main sensor in low light. You can litirally cover the telephoto lense using your fingers and you are still seeing things on the viewfinder, because the camera already uses the main sensor.

RD, 29 May 2021Thank you but how to properly use it?I think the telephoto cam is for recording in good lighting situations. When in low light, the f/2.4 camera takes horrible photos and videos, you'll be better off with the digital zoom on the main cam. The telephoto len also contributes to the bokeh effects while you take portrait shots

i have koreen version V500N,it doesn't support Duel SIm, doen't mention that it support nano duel,it mistac -_-

Has anyone tried some LG 3 Camera Smartphones to commit fraud? Even though the Camera is only 2 that work, Camera Telephoto with Normal Camera using the same sensor, try putting your finger and try to change the camera..

Martian, 16 May 2021Yo thanks man. The main thing that I was considering the lg... moreThe 1440 display is the high resolution on the V50, it consume battery faster and if the background has a permanent white the screen will get warm.
But the V50 has 3 resolutions settings, High 3120x1440 will get warm under certain circumstances, med 2340x1080 wont get warm even under high usage( if it gets warm or hot at med that means your heat dissipator is bad or missing if its bought second hand, its the first item that gets swiped by second hand sellers).
That refresh rate only affect games, mainly FPS or racing games, IPS will make games looks good and movies too, only thing that suffer slightly is the color black on IPS displays but eventually you get used too.
Also i haven't used a phone with IPS display but at least on TV and monitors they have odd viewing angles, not for the user since he is facing the display but for onlookers.

The main thing that I was considering the lg V50 for was the 1440p oled display vs Poco x3 pro's 1080p lcd display... It has a 120hz refresh rate tho... How good is this actually, is 120hz refresh rate that good/noticeable (and on an IPS display too). Thanks.

Martian, 16 May 2021LG V50 refurbished or POCO X3 PRO guys??? The xiaomi is from this year with better specs than the v50 since the V50 is 2 years old, a better comparison to go VS is with the V60.
If you are looking for better specs the xiaomi would be a better choice.
Looking at the xiaomi specs, it looks that is a phone to watch movies. IPS screen would make dark movies look kinda weird since you would see layers of black but since the screen is only 6.7 it wont be noticeable, i think. It comes with android 11 from the looks of it, V50 still hasnt got it.
I read the the rollout for android 11 on chinesse phones hasnt been smooth, with their battery draining faster and random spikes in temperature while using apps.

LG V50 refurbished or POCO X3 PRO guys???

Alexwis, 26 Apr 2021This device in the Sprint version is good?I have it. Bluetooth has serious issues. Have read that issue popped up after an update. LG dumping phones business doesn't promise updates/fixes either. I suggest you look for something else.

I have sprint version of this phone for couple of months now. Screen is amazing, it doesn't have that buttery smooth refresh rate though. Photos look great on this screen. Sound is awesome too.

Bluetooth is a nightmare. It keeps flickering to a point that I no longer use wireless headphones or connect it to my car audio.. Real deal breaker for an audiophile like me. I've combed through many pages in vain to find a solution for this issue and none of them seems to work. I don't think it was even tested before the product was released to market. LG, you reading this Bro, fix this piece of garbage ASAP!!!!
