Arod, 02 Mar 2021since i want to switch to LG im switching from samsung bec... moreWell, all phones have bloatware unless you get the european versions.
Is it easy to remove? yes, there are tutorials online but you might have to root the phone which will make any warranty void. Can you hide the bloatware without rooting , yes.

I dont game on mine so i dont know about that, if you do game you will need to do it at 2340 ( med resolution) otherwise the phone will get warm.
I dont know what do you mean by schoolwork, reading and writing?
Also this phone will be two years in april, so if you are looking for performance, might want to check the V60 that has last year snapdragon CPU and 8 RAM with a 5000 battery.

since i want to switch to LG
im switching from samsung because i had bad experiences with UI and performance
LG´s UX looks clean and colorful but i keep hearing people complaining about bloatware (i thought samsung has useless apps and bloatware big time) is it easy to remove them
one UI dont let me remove these crap apps
btw is the CPU powerful, it still can handle heavy tasks like gaming and school work
i heard that the battery life is good and can last a whole day
is the phone worth it today, because i love the design, the UI skin and specs

john, 24 Feb 2021Hoi geepstar, wondering if its worth upgrading from v30 ... moreYes, its worth it, v50 hadnt got the android 11 update yet tho but it will.
V30 wont get more android updates so if updating your android isnt a priority then getting a v50 is not really recommended.

This is my second LG phone. I first had the LG V30. I love the phones. Solid class a products. Audiophiles should get it. It is really sad the phones aren't more popular, because, as a lot of people say, they are highly underrated. The daily usage is easy. LG has cleary thought things through.

delight, 26 Jan 2021Hello everyone. I just bought this phone and I love it so m... moreLG phones have a LOOOT of bloatware (especially the carrier specific ones) which make the phone running slower and laggier than how you expect from its hardware. Some of these bloatwares can be disabled or uninstalled easily from the settings and app management section, but for some of them, the "disable" and "uninstall" buttons are not accessible, so you should use the ADB tools in your PC to forcefully remove them from your phone and free up some RAM, improve its performance and optimize the battery usage.

If you wanna know how the ADB works, google "oem bloatware without root" and check out the xda-developers guide. It's very easy to setup and use.

Also you can google "LG V50 debloat" or "LG G8 debloat" or "LG V40 debloat" or "LG G7 debloat" so you know what you should remove and what you should keep. Since all of the recent LGs have almost the same bloatware, I think every LG bloatware list should work on the V50.

Hello everyone. I just bought this phone and I love it so much but it lags a little bit sometimes. Like just for a microsecond. You might not even notice if you dont keenly observe. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks .
I have tried to delete app I'm jot using and clear cache.

NarDog, 21 Jan 2021Is it still a good deal for used one?I would recommend looking at Swappa, there are fantastic deals for the used LGs, including the V50 which is around $200-$250 and honestly it's the best deal in this price segment.

NarDog, 21 Jan 2021Is it still a good deal for used one?Sure, it can go as low as 200 dollars used, way better than any mid range smartphones of that price. The only thing that's lagging 2 years after its release is the camera in auto mode.

Seems like V50 got the poop stick by that carrier and since they release their own carrier version software to nerf the phone capabilities, unless you can unlock it to other carriers, your performance will drop steadily or already does because the article is from may 2020.
Keep in mind the issues you are experiencing are only because the carrier changed things on their end not that the phone is being left behind.

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2021Maybe you got a faulty phone coz never heard of those issues...No, it's fine, I think, it is from Sprint, new, 98% battery life, but those small problems go unnoticed by the average user and it could be software issues, or not.

Audio doesn't stop on other phones when shoot photos, obviously on silent or vibration mode, and it's worse using Bluetooth, weird sounds with multitasking, you can even totally block the signal with the palm of your hand!, check it by yourself.

If so you can put the SD card on the new phone and see if it can be restored. The size on the backup alone will give you an idea of what might be restored. Also check your google drive, older phones used to backup directly to google drive unless prevented to do so.
