I have never had any overheating issues with this phone even though it does get a bit warm after extended period of use. But so far no overheating compared to some of my previous phones.

This phone is a steal because of the price that is almost the same as the midrange phones today. This is much better than some of the overrated midrange phone right now.

I also noticed if I switched to apple charger (5W and 12W) the flickering does not occur. I might consider using aukey usb-c cable and pd charger after this.
I think this phone has a copper cooling pipe. I have no issues with overheating so far and this is the coolest phone I handled when playing games or using gps for extended period of time. All my previous phones are waaay hotter than this when it comes to gaming.

Rich, 19 Nov 2020Try using a thicker (carries more amps) charging cable. I a... moreThinQ doesn't mean "thin". And this phone is considerably thick.
Adding thickness does not improve heat dissipation.
Mind that S855 is a super powerful chip and generating heat is a must.
V50 has already been implanted heat sink and having alluminum frame, much better than those plastic phones.
If you want the best graphic performance on gaming, just go for gaming phone.
Never spoil any normal-allrounder phone.

I bought one of these off of Ebay and I liked it a lot for a week till the wireless charging went wonky and began not functioning. Luckily, the seller was extremely reputable and took it back. I'd love to get another but it looks like no one is selling it new. Can anyone speak to this? Not sure I'd like the lower res display on the V60.

Raxi02, 18 Nov 2020Will this be worth to buy in 2021 or should I go for v 60? ... moreHonestly both are great phones packing so much hardware and can be bought for very cheap on online stores, such as eBay, Amazon and Swappa.
They have some pros and cons. The V60 has a newer and better chipset, more RAM, bigger battery, upgraded cameras (but lacks the telephoto) and would get 1 more Android update, while the V50 is smaller and easier to use, has the telephoto and a display with more PPI. Also it's a lot cheaper.
If you can afford the V60, go for it. If not, the V50 would still be a great cheaper option. I think you would be very happy with both of them.

Akira Kurou, 10 Nov 2020Does anyone who is using this phone have these issues while... moreTry using a thicker (carries more amps) charging cable. I am also using a 2.4 amp output charger. There is no flicker. And with my Realme X50 5g high output charger and very thick cable, there is no flicker. LG dumped these phones here in Vietnam. Every vendor is selling them at around $200 usd. I suspect because of this and other issues such as overheating. LG should give up on the thin q concept, and build a thicker phone with heat dissipating materials.
