So no need to wait 2 weeks like with Mirai2000 or kwan or with Monmar.

              Update, I'm getting 9.5 hour of screen on time with 8% battery left, AOD turned off and screen resolution dropped to 720p. Yes it's pointless but it's for a test and honestly, you literally can't tell a difference, not unless I told you about it.

                      I've been using this phone for 2 month now and I got to say, for less than $250, LG V50 is a damn good phone. I would even go as far as saying this is the best phone so far.
                      1. Design : At $250, there is really no debate that LG V50 is more premium looking and feels premium than other sub $250 phone. The flushed cameras alone is enough to remind you that this was a $1000 phone. The flashing red-blue-green 5G logo will make you feel like you're holding an ultra premium smartphone, which it is.
                      2. Screen : Manufacturers already know that anything above 1080p is an overkill and even I scaled it back from 2K to 1080p but its good to know that LG V50 comes with a P-OLED 2K screen. Its beautiful to look at. And don't be fooled with other high refresh rate screens options, its useless and consumes more battery.Literally a useless feature, like the 2K screen resolution. It's good to have, but it's not game changing and you'll have to remind yourself that you have it. Also most apps dont support high refresh rates. Only LED screens have a Always on Displays so there's that as well. Most people including myself don't really mind the notch. Its better than pop up camera thats for sure. But pill-shaped dual camera cutout is the only thing better than a notched dual camera.
                      3. Cameras and videos: The quality of photos and videos from LG V50 is amazing and flagship level. Its one of the only phone to come with full manual video capturing and combined with its dual mic and a quad DAC headphone jack, it's truly a pro grade camera phone and the best pro grade camera phone. A video is only as good as its audio. It also have 2 front camera which is mighty useful.
                      4. Audio : Many phone have stereo speakers, most are better than LG V50, but combined with Quad DAC equalizer and DTX:X 3D Surround, and at $250, no other phone beats LG V50. Most phones don't even have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
                      5. Battery : LG V50 with its Snapdragon 855 and 4000mAh, 1080p and Always on Display turned on, will give me around 6.0-8.5 hours of combined screen on time. The 855 is quite a power hungry beast but is a beast nonetheless. At any metric you use. A bargain especially at $250. The presence of a 855 beats other $250 by a mile.
                      6. Misc : The 4G LTE signal reception is stronger on LG V50, I like the built-in call recording function, the fast charging is quite good. Anything more than 20W will kill your battery faster especially if you like to charge using fast charging overnight.

                      Conclusion: At less than $250 (RM999 on Shopee) this is far better than other $250 phone, even if you're buying it used. For me, a mint quality 1 year old flagship is better than a new midrange.

                              I'm trying to understand why would I want to get the newer Velvet 5G over this V50. The V50 has better specs, except for the camera?

                                This is a perfect phone IMO. Great battery life, great camera, good size, good screen, CPU, etc. This is what the V40 should have been. It is however surprising LG did not release it everywhere. The same mistake was made with the V20 when Samsung Note 7 was not around to compete with it. I think LG has a mole in its upper echeleons that is sabotaging their products and sales.

                                  Yuaru, 07 Aug 2020what different between Korea set and international set?1) Korean set will have some built in app (bloatware) specific for korean telcos.
                                  2) Some of the ringtones are in korean language.
                                  3) You can't change the lockscreen dual time display as it will always show your current location time and korean time.
                                  4) The theme store and lg app store is in korean and you can't download or purchase any themes if you are outside of the korean region.
                                  5) It does have the 5G bandwith to support korean 5G network
                                  6) You will have direct contact to the only true korean president - Kim Jong Un
