I Hope that this time, a real FM Radio will be also available to the European version!..
I say so ("real FM Radio") because looking at the comments (read "opinions") of the LG V40 model which its EU version lacks of the FM Radio circuit, there are some comments (from ignorant or illiterate or simply just idiot people?) saying that one could download such "radio applications" (!!!) as well as they are giving the url's... They are not able to understand that we, the FM Lovers, don't ask for a WiFi application (such as VRadio, Radio, SHOUTCast or Even the LG software Radio app that is found in my old LG G3) but about the built-in hardware circuit similar or even better than that of the LG G3 which "gives life" to the LG software Radio app to play!!! What do you not realize???

Wish this phone hadn't been exclusively 5G. There‘s only one carrier in the UK.

No it will not work because depending on the model number, it was either a Sprint Phone(GSM) OR VERIZON PHONE(CDMA).
Although, the phone has a 5g modem, the specific model will only broadcast 5g to THE SPECIFIC NETWORK'S FREQUENCY.
IT WILL MAKE CALLS AND TRANSMIT DATA ON 600MHZ, BUT YOU WILL NEVER SEE A 5G SYMBOL AT THE TOP WHEN ON T-MOBILES NETWORK.
T-Mobile broadcast is 5g on 600Mhz. This phone 5g modem, does NOT BROADCAST OR HAVE THE ABILITY TO BROADCAST 5G ON 600MHZ.
LG has to physically engineer a LG-V50 5G phone from the ground up with a MODEM THAT BROADCAST 5G ON 600MHZ. Remember, a specific model number of a phone makes the world of difference in connectivity, and representatives are not trained to handle very technical questions like this.
Also, this tool is useful below at times.

If GSM unlocked, will the Sprint version of this phone work on T-Mobile's 5G? Or only if the Sprint/T-Mobile merger goes thru? Thanks!

If it didn't need to be rebooted 4-5 times a day to restore the data connection and if Sprint had 5g in my area this phone would be great!

judging by the phone finder results in gsmarena.com the lg v50 thinQ 5g would be a serious contender if they market it better but lg is not as popular.

I got a refurb in very good condition. Did a battery test today: screen brightness set to 50%, display set to full resolution, Pro7 TV live-stream via wifi in chrome browser, set to full screen with hidden home buttons. Dual SIM radio was also on (3G/4G stand-by). Battery drained from 100% at 10am to 35% at 5pm. My 2 years old V30 with same settings and same test drained to 15% at 5pm. V30 has home buttons burnt into OLED screen.

LG phones are widely ignored. Than's for sure. There're must be some reasons for that. I guess that it's LG fault anyway. My main complain about them is horrible updates speed. I'd say LG is the worst in this regard. The best description of LG flagships I've ever heard is "jack of all trades but master of none". Completely agree with it:).
